SYEP Summer Youth Employment Program
Techie Youth is a SYEP virtual worksite in New York City and other regions.
SYEP Participants at Techie Youth get a unique career-training experience that is entirely remote, you perform your SYEP work duties virtually, from anywhere that you are.
You will be paid for your training in the Techie Youth "Learn to E-Earn" program, where you will learn how to earn money while working remotely. NYC SYEP (or the Summer Youth Employment Program in your region) will pay you for your training time at Techie Youth. During your SYEP summer internship at Techie Youth, you will learn job skills empowering you to earn income (that you keep 100%) through technology-driven computer-based careers that can be performed from anywhere that you have Internet access.

How do the SYEP payments work?
As an SYEP participant, you will GET PAID for your time at Techie Youth, and we are training you to earn income that you will keep 100%, plus upon completion of our program you will have created a portfolio of work history that you can demonstrate to future employers and clients.
Techie Youth never takes any money from SYEP participants.
What kind of support does Techie Youth provide to SYEP participants?
SYEP participants at Techie Youth have 24/7 access to our 1-on-1 coaching team that is available to help you in any way as needed.
What happens when I reach the end of the SYEP summer?
If you put in the effort to embrace the Techie Youth training program, then by the end of the SYEP summer you should be eligible to graduate and earn a Certificate of Completion. Graduation is strongly-encouraged, but not required - you will still get paid by SYEP even if you do not achieve graduation criteria.
Can I do Techie Youth before the SYEP summer schedule starts, or after the summer ends?
Yes, any youth age 13-24 may utilize Techie Youth Learn to E-Earn by enrolling online now, but you will only be paid for your time during the designated SYEP summer program dates. Some SYEP participants may also be eligible for Work Learn Grow, Learn & Earn and other youth employment career training programs similar to SYEP that are throughout the year. You may request from your referring-agency to be placed at Techie Youth for both SYEP and WLG and any other youth employment training programs that you would be eligible for.
