Today at techie youth I learned that it is a long process but also interesting to learn. It is also similar to photoshop but slightly different. You can scale down your images on adobe illustrator. I definetely will be watching this again in the future to keep practicing.
Today a techie youth I learned that as an entrepreneur, there will be times where I have to let an employee go. When doing so. it is best to keep any reasoning vague and to also be understanding. I would also suggest giving a heads up for the employee to change any behavior before it leads to termination.
Today I learned a lot about preparing for an interview. For an example, in the excerpt "Show something in every interview" it states that "According to certain studies, sales people who show something have a 65 percent greater chance of making the sale than
those who show nothing." When going to an interview, I will be sure to apply this tip I learned at techie youth.
Today at techie youth I learned that networking with others is a great tool as an entrepreneur. Some tips when networking is to try and research them before approaching them. This helps you save time because if they aren’t beneficial to you, you can find someone who is!
Today at techie youth I learned that when obtaining clients/sales you want to give a clear and to the point pitch. A key tip is to not overshare as well.
Today I learned the importance and fundamentals of branding. Things such as having a mission statement allows a better service for your brand . Stores like Nordstrom or card services like American Express has their own statement and live up to it giving more customers. Slogans are also a great way to get your business known. Example when we here “Just do it” We think of Nike. I also learned how to create a professional website, but practice is still needed.
Today I learned that even though I am fully motivated, if I'm not working smarter, I can still fail. It is good to always apply myself despite where I started. The goal is to also always work smarter, not harder.
