While making my product and on the verge of selling it on Etsy I have run into many difficulties. One of which had a good display of mugs to resell and also buying materials so I can keep making the mugs.
Esty so far has been the best option for me when it came to selling art online. Society6 is also a good website to sell but with Etsy, I feel as though it is easier to manage. However, before selling on both I think it's best to really have a plan on what you want to sell and how to sell it before you actually go through an execution. It has been difficult trying to find an original idea for a product I think consumers would like. So at first, I wanted to sell crop tops now I'm considering selling actual cups and making an abstract design on them. This now requires me to determine how I want to market my cups( Mugs ) through my original design for my Harajuku crop tops inspiration.
I've been trying to sell on Etsy for a while but there are some steps that I need to take in order to successfully be able to sell. Some steps I've had difficulty in were setting up prices, shipping and handling, promoting a brand, and overall getting exposure. So far I've got my brand name/ logo but the other things its a working progress,
To gain control of pricing and other account integrations, using merchant account options gives more flexibility to connect to the payment gateway of our choice. In return, this allows integrations with 3rd party software like PayPal, Stripe, and Square.
It's best to do what's expected of you and not to over-exert yourself. Also never wait for the right time to pursue an opportunity, it's never the right time just take the opportunity right then and there.
I have not reached my 20s but even then I've had this set belief that I should have my life together by the time I am about the age if not at least 25. After watching the video I realized that life is about taking your time and doing things patiently. This is because when you are patient going through life but working efficiently in the long wrong it pays off and is rewarded with success.
Having a leader's mentality means that you are a person who can lead others and basically influence others around you. To be able to do any of these you need to have a set foundation of who you are and be that role model for others. Some things that I learned to gain this mindset are to learn how to accept failure, practice mindfulness, and own who you are, and naturally, people will flock to you.
There is an amount on what you may have to pay to start a business whether it is large or small. However, in order to get a rough estimate of what you may have to pay it is important to know and work with your budget. Also, you need to pay taxes, have business insurance to protect your finances, and also have a business structure.
Today I was reviewing some topics regarding starting a business in my case as a teenager. One of the most talked about topics was managing finances, this was a crucial component when it came to starting a business or anything. In life, we are constantly just working and putting time into other things and most of us don't take time out for ourselves. It is important to know how to balance your mental health and also your career as well. I learned that a good way to do this is to always check in with yourself, take as many necessary breaks, and don't over-exert yourself. I also learned that it is best to work remotely because you can basically be able to achieve this while also getting your work done in a timely manner.
It is very important to have good mental health. This is so you are more present and contempt with what you decide to pursue in life. Something I learned from the ted talks was to embrace your shadow and failures, embracing these aspects about yourself will lead you to you grow as an individual.
As a teenager who is looking to become an entrepreneur in the future I have been given substantial advice regrading this career. A key point I have taken from today is grow your connections ( network ) and know your audience.
As a starter in the entrepreneur world, it's best to establish an online business with an already official website, for instance, Esty would be a good website to do so. Then once you build up your customers there then you can start taking action to get your business license. Then make an official website for yourself or own an actual store that you can promote on social media platforms like instagram.
I learned that L and J cuts are cuts that are inserted in an edit that is typically the shape of an L and J when placed on a track. However, they differ in the way they affect the video, for instance, the J cut is the reverse of an L cut, and the L cut allows audio to play over a scene.
To be able to edit videos you need to have certain equipment a fast-running computer not your regular pc. A recommended site/app to use to adobe is used by most professionals. To become more financially independent you need to be able to market your money in the right way. To be able to handle your finances you need to become more literate
in that aspect, by knowing your budget and go according to that, without spending over that amount.
Online selling can be difficult if you don't have a concrete substantial plan in action. I've been trying to sell on Etsy and have run into a few bumps in the road. Techie Youth is teaching me how to overcome these barriers and make an actual profit off of my art. Techie youth encourages future entrepreneurs to take a risk and really put themselves out there, this has really helped me come out of my comfort zone and accept failures that come with the territory.
I have learned that in order to sell art or anything while also keeping your customers satisfied, you have to have to be willing to take a risk and be able to accept constructive feedback from consumers.
