Today I learned a lot of interesting things about getting into web design and what sacrifices might need to be made early on to get your services out there such as offering free or discounted services and or doing work that people won’t buy and reaching out to them first.
Today I learned about git repositories and keeping databases and online services working while still being able revert or keep services running by either setting up parallel servers to do regression testing or in the case of git committing the versions to the main branches of the repository

Today in the content I watched and read I learned of the importance of using these platforms correctly for business and how they can be used to expand your brand and social status with the right types of posts but also how the wrong types on the platform wechat could completely destroy your ability to be connected in China.
Today I learned about intangible goods namely copyrights trademarks and patents personally through the videos I feel that they made it seem easier than it actually is to make money this way.
This week is a little hectic so I am doing some hours today Sunday the 31st. Today I read and watched content about successful business models and understood why a lot of services have chosen to switch to subscription based models lately which while some of it makes sense some of it feels anti consumer.
today I learned about creating and monetizing from digital assets this includes writing ebooks webinars pod casts and video games or assets personally what interested me most in this unit is the video game assets and html5 templates
today i started by watching videos about options but then i had to leave my apartment and so i worked on a 3d project using shapr3d and uploaded it to thingiverse using my ipad from the car.
i learned about options puts and calls today where people can stand to lose and gain a lot of money potentially by purchasing the rights to buy something at a certain price but then it goes down or calling to sell it at a certain price but then it goes up. keeping this in mind, when buying if the price goes up from where you put the call and you would like to buy you stand to gain money and if the price goes down after putting out a put option because the sale happens at the price of the put you stand to gain money.
today i learned about other forms of trading such as robinhood and reits and options however i still would not use services like robinhood after what happened during the r/wallstreetbets gamestop trading issue where they stopped people from buying and selling gamestop stock
today i learned about crypto blockchain and stocks i think it is interesting how blockchain is a data source that led to the creation of crypto currency however i am a risk averse person and if i were investing i would choose stocks over bitcoin as they can be predicted by company and market performance as well as some paying dividends verses crypto which is volatile and generally has no backing to support its value
i learn9ed about different methods of monetizing my work through wix and wordpress or even ebay and amazon as long as it fits my needs an9d will allow me to profit.
i found the article about the fundamentals of clothing design very interesting overall showing he process from research to sales was very interesting. that being said i also watched the screen printing video and while i have taken screen printing classes we did not screen-print on clothing so that was very informative especially through the lens of doing it from home.
today i watched tutorial videos on adobe premier and began the tutorial video for gimp 2.10. the premier tutorial taught me that there are many ways to go about doing digital design and some order as to how you might want to execute this. the premier tutorial also went relatively in depth on most of the tool use cases. some different methods included drawing with shapes and lines, or using the brush tools.
today i watched videos about arduino and rpi i learned that an arduino is a simple single thread machine that can carryout basic tasks. while an rpi is a mini computer that is usually coded in python or c++.
today i watched tutorial videos for Autodesk programs and saw just how powerful these tools can be for prototyping. my biggest complaint is how expensive access to these tools is, however since some of them are industry standard it does make some sense with the included assembly methods and other processes that I wouldn't use in most situations.
i spent the majority of the day watching videos and learning about cad software like blender and tinkercad as well as what they are capable of and how to navigate their features to design objects for 3d printing it was interesting to see all that could be done with the pre made 3d objects.
today i reviewed the informatioon about chords loops and bpm and tried to create a loop that i liked in the beatmakers 3 program. the program has a lot of tools and i was attempting to learn how to create fx for the different pads to create a more unique sound than just the base beats supplied by the application.
for today i learned more about producing music and how to monetize it and other services, i also researched production software and started working on the music production assignment. after some looking for what is accessible to me i chose beatmakers 3 on iPad. i also spent lots of time watching tutorials on how to operate the program and while i am still confused i am learning different methods of keeping tempo.
today i explored different aspects of music production and how it has become more accessible in recent years no longer requiring large studios but now can be done on a strong laptop or tablet. i also learned about some drum loops piano chords and beat loops
for today i learned about shortcuts and how to navigate adobe premier. I also learned about color and sound editing for photos and video and different methods to do that properly within premier.
today i started my day writing a list of quality of life improvements that i could make as suggested by that section of this program. tthen i began the video editing module where i watched tutorials and tips for final cut pro and davinci resolve and more specifically the difference between j cuts and L cuts.
So today was somewhat interesting. as there were ways learned of how to improve life from eating healthier to working out and managing time. as well as ways to better use resources to obtain goals like finding methods of cheap travel and more.
Today is day 2 of this program, i mainly did a recap of what i went over yesterday and spent time writing my cover letter and reworking my resume. I also learned about some good and bad investments as well as any of their drawbacks or positives. some big ones i learned are the negatives of real estate. I also learned how perhaps hiring a cleaning service once in awhile can be a self investment if your time costs more than the service. an investment with a lot of hidden drawbacks is housing, such as taxes or maintenance but again for maintenance you may consider hiring people if it is lucrative enough.
I felt like I had learned a lot about the working for money especially the caveats of different payment methods. I also learned how important first impressions are when looking for work are, and how easy it may be to ruin it.
I learned how crypto currency while like cash is very volatile to use as a source of income or as a method of receiving payment especially when looking at how it dropped from 30k usd per coin to 29k. I also learned being paid in cash is not as off the books as it may seem if the business associated reports in on their taxes.
There was a lot of information about how to participate in and look professional in zoom calls, especially regarding camera angles, lighting, and the audio and visual equipment being used.
lastly I learned how crucial it may be to have a great first impression especially when it comes to the start of a resume and your elevator pitch.
