I went over how to get paid today. I read many articles and watched many videos to figure out what a checking account is and how it works. The first article I read discusses overdraft protection, how to open a checking account and the differences between a checking account and a savings account. In addition, I discovered that most bank accounts require you to endorse each check paid to you before you can deposit it, and I found alternative checking accounts such as prepaid credit cards, secured credit cards, and "second chance" checking accounts such as the Chime Spending Account and Visa Debit Card.
Today I continued with the virtual assistant topic since its very extensive. I learned about different virtual websites that hire virtual assistants such as Time etc, Smith.ai
Delegated, 24/7 Virtual Assistant, Zirtual, Profit Factory, Assistant Match, Wonde, NS Virtual Services, Vicky, Rock Solid, and fancy Hands. I visited each website and really found great information.
Today I went over everything about virtual assistants. I believe this topic is important when working online. I learned that a virtual assistant handles clerical tasks related to day-to-day administrative duties and should be technically savvy, having worked with a variety of SaaS products such as G-Suite, Facebook, LinkedIn, Salesforce, and Zoom. I discovered all the job details of a VA, the salary, the skills, etc. I really liked this topic since it doesn't only help you as a virtual assistant but also as a student on how to organize your time.
Today I learned about how to earn income by traveling to fun places and doing fun activities. I discovered how I can enjoy life while earning money. I really liked this unit since this is a way I would like to earn money and do what I like which is traveling. Some ways to do this are Social Influencer, Travel photography and literature, and Digital nomadism. All these ways are efficient when it comes to learning money while doing what you are really passionate about.
Today I learned about WordPress, the most popular free content management system (CMS) for building and maintaining websites. Using a CMS to manage your website's content reduces the technical skills required of the person who adds content. Almost every website with a large number of contributors employs some form of CMS to manage the data and provide a user-friendly interface for adding and editing website content. I was able to watch videos that explained what WordPress is, as well as the basics of WordPress, the various WordPress themes, and how to create a WordPress website step by step. All were interesting and helpful to understand this topic.
Today I learned about Stock photography in the services topic section. I find this topic really interesting since I'm really into photography. Today I learned about selling stock photographs, video, and audio. I learned that stock photographs and stock video footage are professional-grade media with usage rights sold to anyone who wants to use them in their project, usually on a royalty-free basis. I also discovered that the media can be of anything as long as someone is interested in purchasing the usage rights; popular stock images include popular landmarks, nature, events, activities, and people. In addition, I also gained an understanding that a stock photo or video is licensed by the photographer or author, usually through a stock photo/video website, and people pay a fee to use the media in their projects. I liked this topic since it was related to photography.
Today I went over the Data Entry topic. In this area, I learned that data entry encompasses a variety of job titles, but all roles entail entering data into a company's system from written or audio files. I also learned that most legitimate businesses that hire for this type of work will do so as independent contractors rather than full-time employees. This topic was really interesting for me and I would like to go over it more in-depth.
Today I reached the fundraising unit, specifically approaching donors. I learned about appeals and how to approach donors by writing my own fundraising appeal. A fundraising appeal is essential since it's the first impression your donors will have of your cause, and will ultimately decide whether or not they will support you. I also learned that when you have determined what you want your cause to be through the fundraising appeal you have made, you can summarize this into a simple pitch to give over the phone, via email, or in person. All these pitches allow the audience to view at their leisure while also allowing you to be more prepared with what you have to say. This was a really interesting and beneficial topic.
Today I continued with the writing unit. I learned about several types of writing that can be done remotely and are potentially profitable. Today I learned about SEO backlink content, Customer service, and correspondence, Technical writing, Transcription, and Grant writing. With all the information on each one, I realized that each one has its potential and is effective.
