my take on 🤠 Can You Change A Person? People Management Skills for Managing Staff Effectively - Houston, Texas

I learned about people’s willingness to change or not wanting to change. I discovered that people don't want to change due to it may impact what they could get in return. people are who they want to be, and trying to change them is a losing game according to the video. If people want to change or other people trying to change another person they need to change for themselves. trying to change yourself is also a full-time job, so instead of trying to change someone else try changing yourself. a tip I learned about management silks was knowing what your employee can bring to the table. understanding the role a person can contribute is really important and a key essential when it comes to managing your staff effectively or people management skills. Knowing your employers' full potential is good but you also want to keep in mind that you don't want to force them into something that they aren't ready for or that they don't want. then that wouldn't be benefitting you or them and could probably lead to some conflicts later on

my take on HOW to be a LEAN STARTUP + WHY you want to be AGILE in ANY VENTURE! video

I was able to learn the less you are invested the easier it is to leave, so if you ever need or want to pivot/ leave a partnership its better to you aren't too much into it. another tip I learned is that it's always best to not spend more minimal spending, and what out for the things you pay for. You don't want to spend money on the things you don't really need when you could spend it on other things that you actually need. cutting your costs could help you reduce your operational expenses and help you with your business. You can also scale easier if you know your exact operational expenses, that's another way to maintain low expenses.

my take on how to get money to fund your start up

when starting off you shouldn't pay for your business yourself. or use a credit card. I learned that it's not a smart move because it's a really bad idea, you could put yourself into debt or ruin your credit score, which will affect future things you may want to purchase. something else you could do is ask a wealthy family member or get help from an angel investor. angel investors could help you with your business as long as they are going to make a higher percentage of profit from your business, they would most likely need at least 20 X return on their money. an angel investor or any investor you need to make sure you do your research and make sure to them in the right way approach, make conversations and gain their respect or them won't bother listening to you and your ideas. looking them up on LinkedIn is also a good idea.

my take on why investors reject pitches an how not to get rejected

i learned that you want to make sure that you don't invest with the wrong people, look out for things like if there is a personality mismatch between you and your investors. you could also look into their portfolio to see if you could find any conflict of interest. some things that investors look for is if you have a team of 2 or 3 people, you shouldn't have 4 or more unless you have a compelling reason on why you need that many. along with your team, you need to ensure that you all get along and they are dedicated, and overall good dynamic. and most importantly the product, you need to make sure the product you're going to sell is compelling and need to know your target and how you will bring in customers

my take on revenue models video

I was able to learn that you can't run your venture through funding all the time because funding will run out. mobile-based companies are struggling with other moderation models and depend on funding. I learned that factors for your revenue models are your market, competitors, value proposition, product propositioning, and cost structures. I discovered that the types of revenue model types are production model which is manufacturing a product and selling it for a price. and rental model which is a property, software or a hard that you give out to people for a price

my take on how to seek help and find key partners

I was able to learn many helpful yet interesting tips when trying to ask for help, one of the ways was having a key partner. trying to do everything yourself and trying to be an expert on everything is too stressful so that's where a key partner would come into play. key partners are not employees but they are short-term partners that can help you with things that you may not have time for. I learned that it's wise to contract with individual people or other small businesses to do specific activities for the week for a short period of time. lowering your cost is a good reason to forge a key partner. it's really important to maintain a good relationship with your key partner but don't let that stop you from researching, you could find better opportunities and maybe a better key partner. when trying to find a key partner or when having one already it's important to ask yourself three questions, what key actives are we good at? who supplies our key resources and is the partnership sustainable and helpful to both parties?

my take on how to identify your target market

today I watched a video on how to identify your target market as an entrepreneur and or a business person. I learned that knowing your target audience is key and is usually where you should start. you need to know who your market is, your audience, and their pain and problems, and. knowing that information you should know how you're going to market them to people. some tips that I discovered while watching the video were that you need to pick what fires you up, you get to choose you to work with and your environment and pick your audience, and you get to build a business that you are passionate about, also pick something that is going to make you want to get up in the morning and motivate you. I also learned that you shouldn't dwell on picking an audience, you should just pick your audience and run with it. staying organized, consistent, and is also very important while picking an audience per marketing channel.

My Take on Mastering the Power of Silence in Business & Negotiations

I learned that silence is actually a good thing sometimes. you could use silence to your advantage which causes people to be uncomfortable with the silence and make them go on and on about their secrets. It gives them under pressure to negotiate with you your competition, and much more. to add on, listening is key, and don't interrupt them you could gain more information that can benefit your ad that you could use to your advantage. another is is don't take more than necessary and not boring them. overall speaking less makes you command more power to get the upper hand.

my review on "how to maximize the value of your time"

From eating this I was able to realize that we as humans are so distracted in what is going on around us that we are not paying attention to how much time were truly wasting doing unnecessary and we allow television consumes 15 hours of our time and ultimately limiting how much television we watch can help us to have time for other things that are more important.
