Today, I went over some of the recruiting and how it is to be in the HR field, and what to look for when talking to people from HR. This showed me more about employment and showed recruiters on job forms like Indeed, Monster, and LinkedIn. This also shows the job requirements that you'd need for the job and position that you are applying for. I also just took the time to review past work and look over some of the material from the prior sections.
Today was interesting to read about laser cutting and how there are many different forms used to create out of certain textiles. They also mentioned something about one of the forms of laser cutting being CO2 which is used to cut things that are non metallic. They also use mirrors to help in the laser process. So that can be anything in a form of an acrylic or more. Also learned that laser means light amplification by simulated emission of radiation.
I added more to my writing assignment so it was revised. I then went over the brainstorming and saw what goes into the ideas and thought process for people looking to sell things and create things online. Also saw what goes into formulating the ideas and picking where to display what you are trying to sell.
Today I went over some assignments however for the writing I chose the copywriter advertisement option and I uploaded it on a separate google document and I see it says incomplete and I am not sure why. I also viewed Snapchat on the social community networking and viewing how to create a geo tag and filter and how to customize it using adobe.
Today I reviewed how to use your social network to community organize and how to gain a following on social networks. They showed how to utilize certain networks to create groups and have support. Especially showed how to actively engage with your following to help it continue to grow.
Using social media and knowing what content to use for the business you are creating or have is important. Learning how the different platforms for social media and following can be utilize to draw in people to your business and what you are trying to accomplish.
Today I read more about content creation. I learned that it’s sole purpose is not to sell something but to connect with the viewers through communication. This was very interesting to me because I always that it had to do a lot with influencing and getting others to buy into whatever you are advertising but learning that it has more to do with the message that you have is important to share and showcase that’s message.
Today I read over some of the online providing services part. I noticed that you can do surveys online and in person and receive money from doing so. The money can range depending the survey you have to do. Some are by state and have to qualify while others can be over the phone and send a video of your reaction and response and even through a video interview through something like zoom.
I have learned today that data analyst are using diagrams, histograms, bar graphs, and more to display how they numbers are being used to better the company. The data scientists are similar but they are working more with the numbers to understand what’s going on. In order to work these jobs you are going to have to have a masters and a background in finance and data science.
I read about artificial intelligence and the use of the robotics and how data is used in that along with research. I also learned that there are also taxes that have to go into the system for the business that you create towards having a AI business to make sure that your personal accounts are separate from the business accounts to make things easier. I also wanted to add that the assignments I have them all under the same google docs link so that it’s all in one place.
Today, I was learning about business analyst and some of the background and skills you can have in order to become a business analyst. Some skills include a proficiency in math, problem solving, writing, and more. Learning that you can have a little bit of a broad major to take this career was one thing I didn’t know before. I was reviewing some the videos and noticing the heavy reliance on excel sheets.
Today, I focused on going over the web development portion to revise on the quizzes. I rewatched videos and saw that with html coding it doesn’t matter with the spaces which was something I didn’t realize before. I just got to have a review and learn more in depth about web developing and creating websites and the steps you have to take.
Video editing and some sites that used for free and some are paid. Stock photos are also used and sites to upload your own stock photos. Also showing the importance to edit videos and using sound and the specific cuts.
AI also known as Artificial Intelligence has six different major branches. AI is all about machine learning, neural network, robotics, expert systems, fuzzy logic, and natural language processing. It was interesting to see how algorithms play a role into artificial intelligence.
Today, was more so reviewing more topics of web development and about coding. I still have to go over it as the language specifics I still have some trouble fully understanding it. WordPress and Web design were interesting and learning to make it your own and fully customizable. Also, went over Website Administration which was learning more about hosting the site and uploading the site.
Today, I learned about databases within the web development course. Databases is what is used to store data from the website. I learned that databases are also separated into categories. SQL is used almost universally along the database language.
Today, I learned about IP address and domain names that are used to identify a website. They mentioned in the videos that the IP address are a string of numbers that are used to identify a site. However, it will be difficult for people to remember a string of numbers so it's easier to enter a domain name. They spoke about the process of buying a domain name and coding it into the computer and how to upload it onto a site once you finished coding.
I finished up the Writing section today. I was able to learn about more sites that can make an income online by transcribing. Some sites offer to pay by the minute or per hour or per word. I think that this is a great way to earn an income especially online. I also read and watched videos on blogging and how that is another lucrative way to earn money. There are different niches that people can do with blogging that can help gain income and an audience/views.
Today, I learned about copywriting which before I had no clue on. I learned that copywriting is more about being persuasive and having to learn how to use your creative writing in marketing. This was something that was new for me because like many people mentioned in the videos I thought it would have to do with Copywrite law or something similar but instead it was about marketing and advertising. This takes strategy and a well-thought-out plan to effectively give a clear message and convince people to get involved somehow.
Today, I took the time to go over some assignments from past courses. I also went over a bit of the writing course and learned about traditional publishing vs self-publishing. Learning more about the authoring world is something that takes a lot of knowledge in getting into.
I learned more about QA testing and even more about writing so that was very interesting and learning about the different ways that people can get into writing. Writing can be through journal and magazine which is a difference in academic writing and I guess what would be labeled as creative writing.
I learned more about QA testing and even touched a bit on user design. This is really interesting to me and I am looking forward to learning more about this section and the things that I can do within the QA space.
I learned about QA testing and how much goes into it the process of a black space and white space and coding and the six steps for them. How they work in teams but also have independent aspects into working and testing.
Selling art can be done essentially anywhere from art blogs to social media. You can even contact galleries and show them your work. There is a global market in art and there can be some tricks tied into commission of your work but there are spaces that can help eliminate worry, stress, and cost by helping with the shipment and customer services aspect.
Today, I learned about some areas that I can improve in for overall quality of life. Things such as financial management and responsibility, health, and learning to enjoy working. These can all apply to gain income and maintain that income but also in other areas of life too. I also began learning about art and the different ways to sell art online and even professionalism in art and how to show that to others.
I learned about earning money and the different uses of credit cards and banks. I learned about the special types of accounts you can have and how to open them to get the best for your buck. Also, was shown the important things to look out for to identify a scam and how people can use that personal information to scam you and what that might look like.
Today, I learned all about Techie Youth and the resources this program offers to better learn about how to e-earn and what e-earn is exactly. I enjoyed learning that there are different ways to e-earn from writing to videos to assisting and more. Seeing the different ways to earn money online and how this can be done remotely anywhere is amazing. Going over jobs, interviews, and cover letters to showcase those skills you have from experience to better relate to companies and the roles you are applying for is helpful. Being able to view some of the remote jobs sites was a nice touch because I never realized just how much is out there.
