Yesterday I watched the PHP coding video and learned a lot about it, specifically the language that is used to code in this software and how exactly to store data using PHP. It’s very similar to Java and Python in the sense that they all use the same expressions and terms to complete projects.
Today I worked on the web development unit, learning how to code in Java Script and seeing how it differs from other coding languages that I have already learned, like Python and PHP. what’s interesting is to see how there is an overlap between the different languages (like how Java and Python use classes and sets) but they execute these operations in different ways given their software.
Today I finished reviewing the SQL tutorial and began with JAVA script in the web development topic. I am learning a lot about the different coding languages can be used for different specialties when web developing and using technology to display and communicate.
Today I almost finished reviewing the tutorial on SQL in the web development section, understanding how keys are used in the software. I have about 2 hours left in the video as it is quite long but it has been extremely helpful especially in understanding the web development topic and how it can be used in my own exploration and web development experience.
Today I continued reviewing web development, specifically databases using SQL and learned a lot about graphing and charts and the actual logistics of using SQL for websites. It seems to be very useful although there a lot of technicalities that need to be considered when using SQL.
Today I reviewed the web development unit and reviewed the SQL is used in the creation of websites. Although I have a basic understanding and past experience learning about SQL there is a lot I still need to learn and understand so I have been attentively reviewing and grasping the information.
Today u continued reviewing the AI unit to learn more about the ways technology is used to solve issues/problems/curiosities. I learned how I could work within the AI industry without a degree/having experience working in the industry. AI can be used for researching and solving autonomous driving which I believe to be the future.
Today I reviewed the artificial intelligence unit and how technology is used for the benefit of the greater good. I began reviewing some basics of python, such as statements, the coding language, and the ways of downloading it on the computer. then i went into robotics and began learning how robotics and AI are interconnected and useful for one another.
Today I finished up reviewing the android development of applications in the creating mobile apps unit. I learned a lot about how software are used in order to create a great product/app that consumers will love. I also started working on the artwork for my digital shop on redbubble, and I have also decided to submit artwork to teespring as well.
Today I went over some more of the creating digital apps topic and learned a lot about how apps are created and transferred to other platforms, like the apple watch. I looked specifically into IOS apps because I use apple products and am interested in creating an app designed for ios users. I learned a lot about advertising to ios users and how it can be made user-friendly through different software designed specifically for apple products. I also continued working on the selling digital goods assignment and have decided to start selling my artwork on redbubble.
Today I started the assignment on selling digital goods by brainstorming ideas of what I can sell online and thinking about digital and physical goods I can sell and finding a community that would buy them. I think that selling on an online marketplace is the first step in creating a community and finding people interested in what I am selling-- essentially building a "business" based on community. I also went to creating web apps and how the software differs between IOS and android platforms. I am really interested in doing the assignment in order to create an app that can be useful to others.
Today I learned more about community building g through social media and the ways that technology can be used to draw in people to a certain cause, action or community. I think it’s really important to use social media for the greater good of spreading awareness and hearing other perspectives. I also continued on in the Crafts unit and understanding how art can be sold through these platforms and sites.
Today I learned a lot about different ways of selling goods and opening up online stores and platforms to advertise and sell products and services. I learned a lot about Shopify and Etsy and how to create an online community given online affordable platforms. What i found to be quite interesting was understanding how easy it is to sell anything on the internet, especially considering the design of the site and shipping and handling. I think this unit has made me understand better how products and services can be marketed and advertised given the resources one has available and understanding how businesses function in today's day and age.
Today I reviewed the resources within the digital crafts and 3D crafts unit. I learned about different softwares such as Adobe Illustrator when digitally creating digital art. This is was very informational to understand how these crafts and 3D are made using technology. I also began working on the niche informational website unit and started planning out the design and layout I want my website to have. Although I forgot to submit the daily assignment yesterday, I continued my work on understanding 3D crafts and the ways that a computer software can be useful in designing.
Today I went over my Reddit predictions on the stock market using Robinhood. My predictions seemed to be quite off but this showed me how volatile and easily changed the stock market is in todays day and age. I then went into creating crafts using 3D softwares and it was really interesting to understand 3D printing even more.
Today I went over digital art/creating crafts in the supporting lesson. I went over 3D printing and modeling watching the videos. It’s really interesting seeing that and seeing how innovative and artistic someone can be using technology and how it can be useful to create. I am enjoying this lesson so far and am learning a lot about 3D modeling and graphic design.
I finished reviewing the niche websites topic, began the assignments, and started the talent and recruitment topic. I learned a lot about what talent and hiring staff go through during the process of hiring and interviewing and found it really insightful to understand their mindset throughout the process.
I went over the art segment today and completed some questions and quizzes under the topics. I also started the assignment for stocks and crypto and posted on my credit account, which I will now wait for 3 days to update it and submit it. I then began understanding how niche websites are built and designed.
Today I continued going over selling digital artwork and goods digital through the use of social media and creating a following/community of people interested in the business. I learned a lot about how artists monetize and promote their work on social media and how a business is started. I also completed and uploaded my music production song to SoundCloud. I then started the Crypto and stocks assignment by researching and compiling my predictions.
Today I continued my learning on cryptocurrencies and stocks which I had started reviewing yesterday. I watched many videos and read many resources on how to begin investing in crypto as a beginner, especially during this time of economic uncertainty. These resources helped me better understand how crypto is useful and how it can be beneficial for investors and consumers interested in innovative currency and investing. I think this is a booming industry (at least from what I have learned, I will be doing my own independent research as well to make informed investment decisions). I also continued my learning on selling digital and physical goods, which I have started to become more interested in. I have learned that so many things and services can be sold, meaning that I can probably find a niche!
Today I refreshed my memory on stocks and cryptocurrencies as I have just now begun using Robinhood to invest my money and learn more about stocks and investments. Crypto has been an industry that has been booming and popular and recent years so I thought it would be useful to go over investing in them and their volatility. Investing is really important especially as a young adult and these resources have better helped me understand the investment and stock world. I also touched on selling digital goods, such as art, in order to make money and build an online following .
Today I reviewed the video editing topic and found it really interesting to learn so many things about video production and editing to create beautiful, encapsulating films and videos to draw in an audience. Learning about the different types of cuts used by videographers and film makers make the art of film making more clear, and seeing real-life examples of very famous movies showed me how this is used in the film industry. I now feel like I am starting to master and understand the art behind filmmaking and editing videos, even understanding how important sound is in the visual aspect of the art.
I learned a lot about music production today. It was really awesome to see what can be created from the comfort of your laptop. With musical talent/an ear for sound, the possibilities are endless since technology has become so advanced and accessible. I began creating my own song with the help of this lesson's resources. I also delved into writing and how writing can be monetized for financial gain from the comfort of one's own home.
