Today at Techie Youth, I learned about authoring books. Authoring books is basically writing or publishing a book about anything one is knowledgeable in. Publishing a book requires a lot of steps and effort, I learned about the process of publishing which is Acquisitions, Editing, Design, Proofreading, Printing, Sales, Marketing, and Publicity. I also learned about the earnings, and how much an author makes but the earnings depend on how much the author is selling their books so the earnings will vary.
Today at Techie Youth I learned about magazines and journal writers. Magazines and journal writers write articles for magazine companies like the popularly known New York Times. They not only write magazines but also contribute to different magazines in the same niche for them. You do not really need experience or expertise to write articles you need to know how to do research. For one to become a journal writer you have to have studied a particular topic well enough to become an expert in it. One needs to have this skill because journal writers come with a lot of statistics, and charts and it requires more of one's time than a magazine article would. But as long as one is good at finding and locating research one should have no problem becoming a magazine and journal writer.
Today at Techie Youth, I learned about Grant Writing and Transcription Jobs. Grant writing is when ones write proposals asking about foundations, corporations, and grant-making organizations for money that will be used to fund charities and non-profit organizations. When one is writing a grant proposal you have to follow a guideline for whichever non-profit organization that one is trying to gain. Transcriptionist jobs are when one transcribes an article, passage, anything. Most transcriptionist job requires a typing speed and accuracy that is measured in words per minute.
Today at Techie Youth, I learned a lot of new information. I learned about Guest Blogging, Ghostwriting, SEO backlink content, and Customer service which focus on the area of how one can use their writing skills to bring an income. Guest blogging is when writing content for other people's websites to be seen by audiences and if the audience is interested in your writing they subscribe to the blog and start to read more about your content. Ghostwriting is when one is hired to write content for another person but the person you are writing for will have full copyright to your content. SEO backlink content, SEO stands for search engine optimization. SEO is an article that is used for sending traffic to other websites from a specific keyword that is linked to the other website. Lastly, Customer service for writing is interacting with your audience or customers through emails, texts, or live chats to help them solve issues they may have with the weblog or website and answer any questions they may have.
Today at Techie Youth I learned about Entrepreneurship. Entrepreneurship is someone who earns money independently through a business venture that they started on their own and managed. I watched multiple videos talking about how one can become a successful Entrepreneur. In this society, there are a lot of Entrepreneurs. I also learned about ways to start a business, because to be considered an Entrepreneur, you need to have your own business and know how to manage it. It was also talked about becoming an entrepreneur. I learned about specific skills that are necessary for one to become a successful entrepreneur.
Today I learned about how one can make an income with social media. Todays focus was on Facebook and Instagram. To make money on any social media account one should include ads in their videos, haves a fan subscription which is when people pay to subscribe to your account, have brand content like brand sponsorships on your account, and then lastly have paid online events.
Today at Techie Youth I learned about business models. A business model is what company’s use as a blueprint for their businesses. They plan out products and services that their business wants or plans to sells, their target audience and anticipated expenses. I also learned about trading intangibles. Trading intangibles is getting a domain for one’s business.
Today I erned about what Digital Goods are. Digitial good is when one sells goods online. It can be anything from music, courses, and/or online services. Ways one can sell digital goods is by first finding a digital product to sell it can be a resell existing product or one can make their own after one has found something t sells they then have to build an online store then start using an app that will allow them to sell those goods and to make the process faster then lastly you market your digital good by finding customers.
Today I learned how one can use something they are good at to bring money in. A service is something one is good at, it could be a talent or anything and you use that talent or good to bring you income. I was informed of the different types of services that one could charge for and that can be learned quickly. Some example of a service that one can do is photography, writing, and creating content like blogging and vlogging, digital marketing, research jobs, and more. I also learned about the different websites one can use to get hired for their services. Websites like Fiverr, Upwork, and TaskRabbit are resources that can help hire someone.
I learned about ways to approach a donor and how to write a fundraising appeal. I also learned about the different kinds of way to give pitches to a donor that is interested
Today I learned about app developers. App developers are people who create apps for smartphones like android and apple. App developers have a salary of about $78K. I also learned about the factors that can affect app developer salaries. The factors are platform and programming languages (You have to have a specific type of programming to work with a developer ex. androids have a developer of Java so Java can not be used for Apple because that is not the developer Apple uses for their apps), Geographical location( there is a difference in global pay rates for mobile app developers based on the country or region on is in, Level of experience(the salary that a mobile app developer earns is related to the amount of experience one has), and lastly Education qualifications and certifications.
Today at Techie Youth I learned about music production. Music production is where a record producer is in charge of the recording and production of a track or single by an artist. They listen to artist recordings, edit the track, and make suggestions. I also learned about remote career roles that are involved within the music sector. I learnt about the different roles and skills one needs to have.
Today at Techie Youth I learned about what a product manager is. A product manager is someone who is responsible for helping a product idea to launch. They gather feedback and choose features to develop and help their team excite those features correctly. I learned about the daily role of a product manager and the three phases of product management. The three stages of product management is as followed discovery (identify any problems and picking what should be solved in one’s product), planning (spends time seeing which products are worth pursuing) and lastly execution (when you emphasize what part of the products needs to be put out there for potential users).
Today I learned how one can sell their art online. Strategies for preparing to sell online was talked about. Tips like what platform to use when you want to sell your art or anything in general. Many different websites were talked about like Shutterfly, flipco, etc. I also learned about selling sticks, videos and audios. How one can use their voice to get money. Selling art online does not require that much steps but much effort. Many videos were shown talking about selling it, making money from it, start an online shop.
Today at Techie Youth I learned about transcriptionist jobs. Transcriptionist jobs are occupations that offers ones to transcribe a text, video, movie. It required a minimum typing speed and accuracy, which is measured in words per minute shorten to WPM. To have an occupation is transcriptionist you have to have good listening skills, have time management and have a strong grasp of grammar. Today I also learned about the various websites that offer jobs to be a transcript. These jobs are remote and some of them don’t require high level experience. I also learned about the job of public relations.
Today I learned about the different routes of getting paid for video editing. There are three different kinds of content that one can edit to make money from which are film and documentary which is making stories from smaller production projects, commercial which is when you edit music videos, recruitment videos for companies, advertisement etc. The last one is YouTube and personal projects which contains helping influencers reach their pronounced audience and also edit their videos that may have tight deadlines. I learned how much a U.S filmmaker makes, a freelancer video editor and a yearly income for video editor. Today I also learned what color grading is. Color grading is a the changing or enhancement of a color on a video or film. Color gradient improves the quality of one’s video image and scene.
Today I learned about the various social network community organizations and how you can use those communities to bring income. Social network community organization is a community on any social media platform that has a large following base. I was taught how to organize a page on social medias like. Instagram, Twitter, WeChat, Pinterest, Snapchat,etc. The app Snapchat was talked about. Snapchat is a multimedia messaging app that allows people to post spontaneous videos of themselves or their days to friends. One can use Snapchat to bring income by being consistent with posting on your story/account promoting your snap and also reaching out to individuals that will benefit and help your account grow.
I learned what a virtual assistance is and the many ways as to how one can get a job being a virtual assistant and the different salaries for each state. I also learned about the skills that are required for some virtual assistance. The skills required are easy to learn and attain. Today at Techie Youth I learned the different types of social medias and what their purposes serves to be, how you can use each one to gain different targets.
I learned what needs to be included when one is planning to create a product. Projects plans for one project include a product description which is describing what your product will be and what it will be about, a resource list, skills that are needed to make one product, and a sales channel which is where you plan to sell your products, and lastly, budgeting which is estimating the cost of created ones first product and also estimating the cost of each individual products. Also learned about ways people can scam you through jobs. If a job employer was to ask for your SSN and personal information that is a red flag and most likely a scam, but if they were to ask for it after the fact that you got the job then it is not a red flag or scam because they most likely need that information for you to get paid.
Today I learned, that jobs do background checks, they check all your social media so one should be careful of what they post online. Having a good cover page is as important as having a good resume and your address does not need to be on your cover page. I also learned that there are many website resources that give you access to paying remote jobs.
