Computer designed objects can be created by any modeling software like sketchup, Maya, Blender. These programs are so cool and use basic 3-D shapes called primitives and prims. These are the building blocks for more complex objects. For example you could make a model strawberry by using pyramids, cylinders, and a sphere. I liked learning about this section a lot.
Today I learned about webinars. A webinar sounds like seminar but over the web, it's essentially a video workshop, lecture or presentation hosted online. You can set one on Skype, oovoo, or any other webinar platform. Webinars can help build a company's status up. You can present a new product, or potentially teach a class. I actually went to a webinar two times in my life. One was for a hair class. It was super expensive and sold out quickly, as I thought it would (the guy was a known stylist). He mostly did demonstrations on a mannequin and gave us a code to win something free off of his website later on. I feel like webinars are a good marketing tool to gain your business more recognition because it gives people more options from you as a business.
Today I learned a lot about the stock market and trading, as well as cryptocurrencies. What intrigued me the most was this article about the NY stock exchange. The article was simple yet very factual, and it went in debt about the history of the market place. What stood out to me in particular was the excerpt on the bells. "The opening and closing bells of the exchange mark the beginning and end of the trading day. The opening bell is rung at 9:30 a.m. ET, and the closing bell is rung at 4:00 p.m. ET, closing trading for the day". The article then went into detail on how the bells weren't originally bell but instead a gavel in the early 1800's. This symbolized clockwork, a shift, a start time and an end time. It was interesting to me that in this current day in age famous people are the ones ringing the bell. It makes sense as im sure some of these people probably have their moneys tied up into some of these large companies so it's a sort of "you do the honors" type of thing. Some of these celebrities also coordinate their appearances with marketing events, such as the launch of a new product or innovation, or a merger or acquisition. But trading days are a future endeavor for the more the merrier.
After watching "How to be happy & Get life satisfaction" I felt really enlightened. Everything he said in the video was so true. When you know yourself you are easily able to navigate through life. A work environment becomes way easier when you know your role and what position to play. Are you a leader or do you like to be led? From a child we are developing life skills to learn ourselves and what we like. Knowing yourself makes life easier for yourself and everyone else.
