laser cutting is a more recent tool that can be used for various things. it's main use for commercial use however is to cut shapes into things like paper, metal, plastics, wood and etc. it can be extremely cost effective and easy to produce goods if you were to use a laser cutting machine due to the low material cost. you could easily set up a program to create earrings or a necklace using the laser cutter and then selling it for a premium for profits. however in order to use one you would need to first learn how to use the software correctly while also knowing what designs you want to punch into the program. there are however a vast amount of software options for designing and even more guides so it shouldnt be that difficult. overall buying a laser cutter and starting a small business selling self made goods is cost effective and easy, anyone could do it if they had a laser cutter.
fundraising is a good way to try and raise money for a good cause like community service or awareness for a disease. it can also be used for personal products that people might be interested in a lot of amazing inventions and products we have today started off with a fundraising campaign in order to fuel the production of said product. however you cant just walk around asking people for money and expect to get any, there are some steps you can take to increase the chances that someone will want to help out for your fundraising. having a really good and down to earth pitch for your cause to your donors is the sure fire way to increase your odds at getting the money. being polite and straight to the point while showing the benefits of donation is a great way to do this.
3D printing is a good way to craft things and then resell them online. you could build anything like bowls small toys or even print your own art. all you'd need is a computer the printer and the fluid to get started. as long as you can buy your materials low and then resell the product high you could have a business going in your own home.
Music production in this day and age is extremely easy to do. there are several free software sites and online guides for any type of music. and even more videos on genre tips and tricks, instrumental guides, how to get your music heard and more. the barrier to entry is very very low as all you need is a computer and internet and you can get started. you dont even need to buy real instruments as there are software apps online that play them for you entirely. if youre a singer a very basic mic and some editing software can get you a long way if you can learn how to abuse the music editing software available to you. overall music production is very easy to get into and there are tons of tools to help you produce your own music even if all you have is a simple laptop.
A.I stands for artificial intelligence and there are 6 branches of this. the first is machine learning where you give a machine a bunch of prompts and then over time it will learn from them think of those "are you a robot" pop ups on websites. the second is neural network which takes advantage of human biology to use the neural system as a means of A.I. the third is robotics this covers robots that cover specific tasks that may need a computers perfection or are too tedious for humans to do. the forth is expert systems and are used to solve problems using data of proficiency and reasoning. the fifth is fuzzy logic, fuzzy logic gives you an idea of things that may be difficult for a robot to understand by allowing it to get a better idea of human thought. and the final branch is natural language progression this simply put helps you and the A.I communicate in a way you can both understand so you can figure out what it is doing and why.
Publishing a book alone or with a group takes a lot more work than just writing down some words and printing it on paper. there are a lot of people you need and things you have to secure in order to even get the chance to publish your book. You need an editor for one. the editor is the person who fixes grammatical mistakes or patches over lines that may be offensive or inaccurate for you. you agent plays the inbetween man as they are the ones that show off your book to publishers in order to get it accepted and published. The publishers are the ones that pay for the distribution of the book and carry out the means of production for the writer. overall just writing a book isnt enough you need an entire chain of command in order for it to get published to the public.
Product management is a field of work that covers many aspects for just one role. several things can and must be done by the product manager like market research, creating plans, coordinating workers and maintaining a roadmap for the future. market research is exactly as it sounds you just study market changes and popular trends to see if your company can take advantage of them. creating plans is just making an idea reality through steps and coordination with your team in order to get your product sold. meanwhile coordinating workers just makes sure that everyone is doing the jobs they are meant to do in order to make sure that your product lines are run smoothly throughout the day. finnally maintaining a roadmap is just making sure that you hit each deadline by using the other steps previously mentioned in order to secure product sales
The world is becoming more and more modern everyday with advancements in technology happening in less and less time. because of this the way people shop has also drastically changed over time as more and more people are opting to buy things digitally than physically. especially after the covid crisis everyone has become more in line with the ways to buy things online. with all of this it would be foolish not to take advantage of this wave and to start an online trade business. People will trade nfts or buy stocks via an app just because it's online and digital. selling digital goods online is just a smart and good way to earn yourself money by buying short and selling big as well. you can buy cheap clothes from a 3rd party then upscale them on your own store to buyers. digital goods as a whole are a good thing to loo look out for if youre trying to sell anything.
databases will normally come down into two different categories based on the datas storage methods these two methods are structured-relational data and non-relational data. basically structured relational data "normalizes" the data and splits it into very small but pragmatic chunks of data. while non relational data lumps all the data into one big pile think of it as it just takes the data and marks down every vistor of the website as a new person. while relational marks down users and saves that data for later. This data system is how people are able to get an ID for websites and the website will remember this ID for them so they can log in much like techie youths login system.
Today i learned about web development and the different roles you can do within it. One role is the buisness analyst are the ones that talk to the buyer to see exactly how they want the webpage to turn out. the project manager coordinates the entire team in order to make sure that the developments cycle is smooth and makes it on time for release in a good quality. You of course also have the people working on the front and back ends of the website these are the developers. in addition to that someone is on quality assurance making sure that the website is at an acceptable quality for the buyer. Overall there are a lot of people and roles at play when developing a website and all of them seem pretty interesting
computer science can be typically split into 3 different things. And those are HTML CSS and javascript. of these 3 html creates the backbone for the page and sets the stage for CSS. CSS however adds a certain flair for the page and adds things like colors text font and so forth. finally javascript is the language used to create the backend of the page this is what you use to get everything running along with the html and css. I'm still learning about this subject but i'd really enjoy maybe looking for a career in this it looks very fun
There are a lot of different things you can invest in like stocks or bonds but options are very different from the rest. Options basically give you the chance to buy or sell security you are however not required to do so it's like buying a membership to the gym, you dont have to go but you can whenever you want. Options themselves carry a risk depending on what option you buy it's completely contextual. so for one person the option they buy could have very low risk. But for another it could be volatile or risky. this is why it's important to do your research on your options before you go and invest into them completely as some are more risky than others.
Today i learned a bit about trading options and what they are. trading options give a trader rights to buy or sell a stock depending on the time or date of their choosing. Trading options are more versatile than just normally trading stocks due to the as there are a lot of variables to consider when actually deciding what options to buy or sell. it's a very confusing subject but you can basically just look at it as a more complex but versatile way of trading stocks.
REIT's stands for Real Estate Investment Trust and are used by investors to buy a company's portfolio. Your investments are directly paid back as the more you invest the more money the company can spend on real estate purchases. However you need to have a good understanding of stock charts and trusts strategy's in order to get the most out of your investments. it's also important to note when to buy or sell your REIT or which REIT to invest in specifically. REIT's are an intresting way to invest in the real estate economy but require you to have some prior knowledge to stocks and REITs themselves to get anything worthwhile from it.
Bitcoin is currently the most popular cryptocurrency and uses a peer to peer internet network to confirm if the order has been completed between two people. there are some ways to earn this currency but the way i'll talk about is mining. Basically in order to mine for bitcoin you use a sophisticated computer to try and solve mathematic equations given. Whoever solves it first gets the block and you just keep doing it for as long as you want. It's gained popularity as phishers will buy out gpus and use them to passively make money mining for bitcoin
Today i learned more about stocks and crypto and while i still dont fully understand it i'll try to give a brief recap of some key things about each of them. Stocks are a form of security that lets you know that for that price you own part of that corporation. buying and selling them is dependent on availability and price range as they can go low or high and are very hard to accurately detect when they actually will go high or low. crypto currency doubles down on this as it's even more volatile than stocks are and can rocket up and down without much warning. cryptocurrency is just digital money that is maintained independently instead of by authorities like the government. Tomorrow i'd like to learn more about these two things as theyre very interesting concepts and appear a good way to try and invest or make money through it
I learned that there are a lot of different types of scams in the world especially with the internet being so free range and dangerous for people that dont know much about it. But it's actually not that hard to not get scammed although it's also just as easy if you slip up. One way to avoid getting scammed online is not clicking any suspicious links for websites sent by people you dont know as it could be a link to download something onto your computer whether it be malware or something that can look through your files to find your personal info. Another way to avoid getting scammed while shopping is just by knowing the price range of what youre trying to buy. If you want to buy some headphones and you know they should cost about 100$ if you find some website saying theyre "on sale" for 20 bucks then it's probably not legit. The same could be said for job offer scams if youre receiving and email stating that theyre willing to give the the position of "executive" or "manager" when you very clearly dont have the experience or qualifications for it it's more than likely a scam. Overall a good way to not get scammed in general is just to look at the deal given and think "is this too good to be true?" and if it is then there's a high chance that it's just a scam.
Today i learned a lot about entrepreneurship and the different ways people work as an entrepreneur. I also found out that it takes quite a lot to actually be an entrepreneur as they need both practical and social skills in order to achieve success. One social skill i learned about was the art of speaking and how body language. word choice and tone can grab peoples attention to what youre saying and make them more likely to listen to you. but entrepreneurship isnt just about that you can also work a regular 9-5 job while maintaining your own side business online and it's not even that hard to do or start up for yourself. It's also very important for you to have both soft and hard skills if you want to make it as an entrepreneur however there are many different ways to go about becoming one whether it be starting your own business from the ground up or just working a side hustle for extra cash. Overall ive learned that being an entrepreneur isnt actually as hard as i originally thought it might be but it still requires some finesse that i'd like to learn more about.
Today i learned a good amount about mentors, role models and time management. i realized that there were so many available options for mentorship programs where people will support you in fields like business or CS. However i also learned that these people arent just doing it for free and that there is an equites to interacting with your mentor as a mentee such as not wasting their time and preparing things in advance like questions or documents so that they can help you readily whenever they're available. time management is also something i got to learn about it's a valuable skill to have since there are lots of way you can waste your time but plenty of ways you could save a lot of it too. Apps and organizers can help with this so you can plan ahead instead of just off the top of your head. Overall Mentors can be very helpful in advancing your career and time management can help you save a lot of time so you have more of it to focus on said career.
Today i learned a lot about how to stay healthy mentally while working. i was told how to properly control my emotions and that no one can "make" you angry you're just choosing to be the same way you can choose to be happy if you please. i also learned exactly how to manage my time optimally by organizing and prioritizing my work for the day prior to starting it and figuring out what's worth my time and how valuable it really is. Physical exercise is also important you only get the one body you have so taking care of it is important there were also studies that show people with a better physical condition due to exercise are not only healthier physically but happier mentally. Finally i learned about how to properly manage your stress, making positive choices and having favorable expectations for yourself while still not letting others get to you are all great ways to maintain your stress levels and stay cool.
Today i learned a lot about how to manage social media accounts and what exactly you can do to gain more followers/viewers on apps like tik tok and instagram and about ways you can optimize your account in order to make it look more appealing to others. there were also topics like hashtags and niche pages that i found very interesting that i'd like to look into more during tomorrows lesson it's kind of cool how simple hashtags can connect people and allow people to gain more exposure for their content online.
