What I learned today

Today I learned mostly about start-ups. How to fund them, how to get started, and how to improve and satisfy the needs of those willing to help. One of the key factors of having a successful startup is knowing the customer's needs and knowing how to fulfill those needs efficiently and effectively. I also learned that a lot of startups fail to due lack of funding, investing in the wrong things for it, bad partnerships, ineffective marketing that attracts little to no attention, and not doing something you are passionate about or are an expert in. If you are not passionate about your startup project, then you will most likely have no motivation to follow through with it.

What I learned today

Today I ventured deeper into the topic of entrepreneurship. More specifically, I learned the basics of how to write an executive summary which will be useful for the upcoming assignment. To write an executive summary, it needs to capture the readers attention as a stand alone piece. I think the executive summary is pretty similar to a college application in the sense that it should sum up the main ideas and portray everything that should be known in an interesting way. It should be a boiled down and condensed version of your business plan.

What I learned today

Today I looked into the topic of entrepreneurship. I learned about the fundamentals of a business, what a profit strategy should look like, revenue streams, how to uphold a startup, and where to look for insight. I learned terms such as exit strategies which is what the endgame of a company is. The most common of which is selling out the company to an even bigger company for a large amount of money. I also learned that a break-even point is a point where profit is more than the amount of spending and at which point the business becomes profitable. I learned why companies such as Amazon became as successful as it is today. High-quality customer satisfaction maintains its company, but more importantly, the competition is minimal against it since it is such a well-known and large company when compared to others.

What I learned/did Today

Today I learned more about digital assets; more specifically how to create ads for certain platforms. There should be a targetted audience as well as a certain topic/niche that the advertisement leads to. Different platforms deliver the ads in different ways. Instagram ads and Facebook ads are very different and the way you display them is different. For the assignment of the digital assets, I linked up my steam account which has many different marketplace valuables that can be sold/ traded for other items or money. This collection is the result and accumulation of many years of usage which makes this marketplace inventory reasonably valuable.

What I Learned today

Today, I learned the fundamentals with tips and tricks on how to get hired at companies. The "Don't send a resume" excerpts really helped me understand the hiring process and gave me insight into how things should go or how things might work. Examples include not "talking" in an interview but looking at it as a sales interaction, with you selling yourself as the product and everything is said to convince the employer to "buy" you as their employee. I also learned business models. They are core strategies for a company how to earn money. There are many types, but some include subscription, direct sales, advertising, and marketplace, each with its own unique way of earning money.
