Web Development (Databases)

I learned what a database is in which it used to store data for a website. There are two types of databases denormalized non-relational and normalized relational database. The difference between the two would be a denormalized non-relational would store a chunk of data including name, address, and order number whilst normalized relational database would spilt that information into individual chunks of information. Structured Query Language or SQL is used to get this information from these databases. NoSQL is the same as SQL but, doesn't use a dedicated language to get information so it can vary for database to database

REIT and Options

REITs or Real Estate Investment Trusts are a hands off approach to real estate investing in which you the buyer aren't buying the property but, investing in a company which would "buy" a percentage of it for you. In turn you would receive a portion of the percentage you put in. Some risks involved include liquidity, leverage and market risk.

Options give you the right to buy or sell shares of an stock for a set price at a future date compared to a stock in which you buy shares at that given moment. A call gives you the right to buy a share a given price before the set expiration date. Put is the opposite which gives you the right to sell a stock at a specific price within a given time. You are however, not obligated in doing so.
