Today I learned more about how to share a nonprofit story and spread the word. One great way is to share the story with the local media. Staying connected with them and giving them good can be a great option. Coming up with something unique that will get people interested and including pictures will most definitely make it on the local media!
Today I went back to learn more about how to raise money. Making fundraisers feel part of it can boost their interest in the cause. Adding images of people or drawings might be better than only writing paragraphs. Another big part of fundraising is making sure the system is set up well for the money to come safely.
Today I worked on an executive summary all day. It was really difficult to do all the research and come up with a plan. I learned that business is definitely not something easy or something you can plan in one day. I also thought that getting help from other people such as their opinions or their experience with similar products can be helpful.
Today I learned some funding methods and renting tricks. Renting a place is crucial part of a business since all the work or most would be done from there. Having a list of things in mind prior to choosing such as, a quiet neighborhood or having updated system in the building, can make it easier to find a place. So plan ahead and find out which environment is best for your business to strive. For funding, finding organizations or family members who is willing to buy shares in your business is important. Also, sharing similar hobbies or topics to talk about can sparkle interest in funders.
Today I learned that creativity is necessary for every business. I learned about the legalities of a company name, and how it is important to choose something unique, relevant, and something that does not overlap with another company. I learned the importance of having a good logo and looked at different designs, fonts and aesthetics. A mission statement is important since it tells the story of the recent activities of the company. A business card is important to have as well.
Today I learned a lot about how to actually start a business. I learned that it is important to have a good business plan with an excellent executive summary to share your ideas and goals easily. I learned that there is a major difference between solo and cooperative businesses such as taxes and if there is a lawsuit. It might also vary when taking loans/funding and finding supporters.
Business is very competitive. So making certain choices can make the business better. For example, prioritizing customers like amazon can help the business grow over time. Picking an audience and staying consistent can help the audience understand the big theme and see if it is something that they are interested in/need. Thinking long-term from the start can help with making better choices from the start and helps with having a plan throughout the journey.
I learned some tricks which can help entrepreneurs. I learned that sharing your ideas with others can actually be very beneficial. They can spread the word, give advice, and point out potentials and improvements. Choosing something you are passionate about will give you more motivation since it is something you truly enjoy.
I have always heard about entrepreneurship but never really understood the concept fully. Today I learned more about it and I think it is really cool. I always thought why would someone risk going into something which might not make them money. However, having your own business and having freedom and individuality can really make this fun. It also leaves space to be creative and to try different things.
Although I understand that remote workers can make great connections with their co-workers, it is important to analyze what you are going into before committing to it. Understanding how to build relationships online would be an excellent skill for a better experience in the workplace. Having resources available to connect with others can be something a company can do for remote workers. Most importantly, staying motivated from home or anywhere will make the journey worthwhile.
Today I learned a little bit more about remote work. I learned different ways to communicate with your colleagues through remote work. At first, I thought this would be one of the big difficulties of remote work; not being able to meet your co-workers and discuss ideas. However, I learned that simply having meetings, a group chat, and talking about some personal things can help create that bond even via computer. With that comes the risk of being scammed. It's important to do some research on the company and understanding their intention to hire you can help with detecting whether or not the workplace is genuine.
Staying healthy is important when it comes to being productive. Today I learned about stress management, and how it not only limits practicing mindfulness, but it can also be in other forms. I learned that helping someone can also make someone feel less stressed. Hanging out with people who are positive-minded can also have a big impact on mindfulness. One can stay physically healthy by routinely working out or finding something physical that one enjoys doing; for example, dancing, playing a sport or just walking.
I watched this TedTalk today where the woman was explaining a scenario about how having priorities makes its time even when one has a busy schedule. This made me really motivated and now I want to understand myself and find something I deeply care about so I can make it my priority and become good at it. If one doesn't have time, it simply means that they don't think of it as a priority. I think finding a priority can make someone very productive.
I continued to learn more about stocks today. I learned about Robinhood and I think I would be more interested in the long term investment since it will pay me dividend even if stocks are going down.
I never really understood this term fully. Why is it that everyone is investing in stocks? Today I learned that stocks could actually earn someone a lot of money with only small investments. However, there are risks and it is important only to invest money you are not scared of losing. Invest where you see potential in 10 years.
Today I learned about different payment methods and how they vary drastically. There are some I knew or was familiar with such as credit cards and cash. However, I learned a little about checking accounts and cryptocurrency. As I was reading about cryptocurrency, I was confused because it is something new to me but as I read more, it caught my attention because of how interesting it is. I am excited to learn more about other money-related topics.
Fundraising can be fun for someone who wants to be an active part of the community. While this may seem easy, it can be quite tricky sometimes. Convincing someone to donate to a cause is not simple so making a persuasive appeal is something one can practice to get better at it.
This topic was fascinating to learn. I learned different types of AI which I was unaware of before. I also learned that machine learning jobs are challenging to find because there are barely any courses that cover this topic. However, with true passion and hard work, one can find a job related to AI. I also learned ways to get a job for AI without a college degree.
