Today, I am continually learning about databases. The database design course is very long but very interesting. I learned about Surrogate Keys and Natural Keys, and more database terms. I also learned a lot more in-depth about database designs. For example, I learned about many-to-many relationships, one-to-one relationships, parent tables, child tables, etc. I learned a data analytics course and there’s a part that is very similar to the tree model in R codes. It is very interesting to learn about different types of data and how to efficiently use data when looking for information. Thus, I enjoy working and learning with data.
What I learned today were database topics. It is data storage on websites. I learned the difference between SQL and NoSQL, where SQL data uses Schemas, data distributed across multiple tables, etc. In which, NoSQL uses Schemas less, data is typically merged, with no or very few relations. Moreover, the Database Design course gave very in-depth learning for beginners on how to design and plan a database. I learned about the relational database, RDBMS (relational database management system), and more on SQL. I also learned the database terms. For example, relational databases that store things in tables, DBMS, how we control databases, Null, etc.
What I learn today are computer program topics. I am continuing with the unit on web development. I learned a lot about website administration, version control, and WordPress. It was very interesting to learn about version control and how to use WordPress. It was very informative learning about how to set up a Tortoise SVN client and how to check out the SVN repository. Although it was a little challenging topic, it was very interesting to learn about it. Moreover, it was very fun to learn about WordPress and how I can create a website using WordPress. It is very similar to wix.com.
I learned a lot more fun and interesting skill today. I am learning web development today. I learned to code in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript through a book camp before. Thus, it was very exciting to revisit the coding language today. My favorite part of coding was the designing part using CSS. It was another way to express my creativity through web designs. In addition, today’s courses on web development and designs also taught me new things and add on to my coding skills. For example, I learn about the different roles that are available in the industry and other rules for coding in HTML.
What I learned today was a lot about sales. I also finished learning about how to use Krita and Paint.net. I learned how to use the program to create art projects. Moreover, when I started learning about inventory, it reminds me of operational management, marketing, and economics. Pricing and inventory planning are important when deciding on a business, and it was fun to learn more about the pricing information. Furthermore, I learned some of the selling knowledge from the digital art courses and I enjoy learning more about the platforms to sell creative products.
What I learned today is a lot more about GIMP. The YouTube playlist tutorial taught me how to use GIMP in very in-depth and detailed instructions. For example, I learned about how to create YouTube channel art designs, the tiny planet effect, face swapping effect, and a lot more other cool and creative tools that are fun to navigate around with. I have always wondered how designers create such amazing images. Now I know that they used GIMP. Moreover, I could use the skills I learned in this course to complete the YouTube video that I need to work on about the stock.
What I learned today was about digital art creation and finishing up the platforms for selling arts online. The GIMP tutorial taught me how to use and edit photos and the tools that came with the program. It was very in-depth learning on GIMP. The Inkscape YouTube playlist learning tutorial was something that I watched and learned before. It was fun to revisit the Inkscape learning courses. Moreover, I learned a lot more new terms. For example, the foreground select tool, eye dropper tool, shear tool, etc. It is a very creative course to learn about.
Today I was continuing learning about how to sell digital arts online. However, it was a lot to understand thus, I may need to revisit the lesson on “how to sell art online?” In addition, I also learned about “where to connect with potential clients online,” and it was very interesting to learn about different resources and platforms for selling arts. I was an art major when I was in high school and had a lot of art products that were created back then. After learning about selling and the online platforms, I might consider submitting my creations.
I started today trying to upload the stock assignment, however, the task was changed to YouTube format. Thus, I went on to continue producing creative products. I also learn about retrofitting electronic products. These are very cool and similar to what I learned last week. Moreover, I also learned about how to sell art online; the full-time artists are sharing amazing tips on selling art, including how to ship and package.
First time learning robotic topics. It is very interesting and cool to learn, especially learning how to program and code. Furthermore, the Star War Arduino Project is very interesting, and I learn a lot about the boards, the ATmega, etc. It was also very cool to hear the star war music with the green and red lights.
The Adobe Illustrator video learning tutorial is a very informative and in-depth presentation for the beginners like me to learn about digital art. Moreover, the inscape tutorial also taught me how to use the different tools to create logos. I also learn new terms in designing, stroke paint, order, object path, etc.
I learned a lot more on 3D printing today from the course videos. One of the articles on 3D printed products taught me that I could start a business by using the printer as a commercial service and sell out items that are made using the printer. Moreover, I could start making homemade products and crafts and sell the products to interior designers and jewelry companies. In addition to learning crafts and 3D printing, I was also keeping track of the stocks for the stock assignment.
Today, I learned a lot more about 3D printing and designs. As I am learning with the videos for Blenders and Autodesk Meshmixer, I am also brainstorming my ideas as well. In addition, I was also monitoring the ten stocks from the stock assignment.
I finished the unit on “stocks, cryptocurrencies & other types of online trading,” I am working on the assignment of the stocks. In addition, I also drafted the executive summary assignment for the entrepreneurship unit. Moreover, I started a new unit and learned about planning, brainstorming, project planning, and 3D printing.
Trading Option is a very video-heavy learning course. I continued learning more about options tradings. I think the video “Options Trading for Beginners (The ULTIMATE In-Depth Guide) is really helpful and informative because there are very valuable examples to explain and the videos for trading strategies are also very informative. The detailed graph and examples help me understand option tradings more in-depth. More the options trading quiz enhanced my knowledge of option trading.
Today is a very heavy video learning course for option trading. I continue with the video lesson that I didn’t finish yesterday about the in-depth learning of Options trading. I took more notes and learned a lot more about the trading of the Options. For example, call option intrinsic value, put option intrinsic value, and extrinsic value. I also learned some new terms for options such as, in the money, out of the money, and at the money. The in the money represents any options that are with the intrinsic value. Whereas the out of money represents the options without the intrinsic value. The at-money options represent the option that has a strike price that is closer to the current stock price.
I learned many new terms today in the Trading unit. For example, REIT, Options, Call options, and Put options. To be specific, I was watching a very long in-depth video about Options; I didn’t finish the video, and I might take longer to watch because I was taking notes as I was learning. The examples that were presented in the video helped to make sure I understand the concept. For example, using the housing and stock example demonstrates how the Call options can use to gain profits by purchasing a premium price when it is low and the future price of the house increases. In addition, I was also reviewing the entrepreneurship unit and drafting the executive summary.
When I saw the long video from Adam Khoo in the unit of Online Trading, Forex. It reminds me of one of Adam Khoo’s books called, Winning the Game of Stock. It is a book that I just started to read. I think both the book and the video will enhance my skills in trading. The video taught me how to trade using Forex and how to identify trend indicators.
Today, I have a lot of cryptocurrency learning courses. I learned about how bitcoin is doing with the system of blockchain. In the cryptocurrency fundamentals, I learned how Bitcoin works and its alternative coins. I also learned some about the shitcoins, which is a new term that I just learned.
I started reviewing the executive summary course in the Entrepreneurship and Business leadership unit. One of the assignments required me to write an executive summary; however, I thought I would need more time to write a precise and concise executive summary, so I switched to learning online trading. I learned so much more about the stock today. For example, I learned how to read the stock chart, where to start investing my money, etc.
I started working on the video editor course; it was very interesting to learn about the different cuts in editing and script telling. I then switched back to learning Entrepreneurship and Business Leadership. I learned more about startup financial modeling, and the tactics to win people over and many aspects of getting sales and clients.
I started with learning in the unit Entrepreneurship and Leadership. I learned a lot of brandings, such as creating a brand logo, a brand name, and a mission statement. I switched to the unit for video editing when I saw WIX in the Entrepreneurship unit because I thought of branding on YouTube, which made me want to jump to the video editing unit. The video editing unit is so fun and creative and interesting to learn. I learn so much about the importance of reaction shots in videos and the different scenes they present.
What I learned the most today was the unit about “customer and market.” Most of the time, I think a lot about how to build a business, but in this lesson, I learned about defensibility and exit strategy. Such as how to sell the business to a larger competitor. Moreover, I also learned about how to set up a legal business entity and IRS.
In the unit of “Entrepreneurship & Business Leadership” Business model, I learned that an executive summary is the same thing as a business plan, but a more concise version. Furthermore, in the “Profit models and revenue streams,” it is very interesting to learn about different factors involved in identifying the revenue model.
In the unit of Fundamentals of Entrepreneurship, there is a video named "How to Speak" from MIT. It was a 1-hour long lecture that presented valuable skills for presenting and engaging the audience. I learned that most audiences would not listen to the speaker if the slides were lengthy. There should be some blank spaces on the slides for the audience. Moreover, I would like to add to how to conclude a speech; when concluding a speech, the speaker should conclude with an action statement.
In the unit “improving Your Quality of Life,” a video from GaryVee, “ultimate advice to anyone,” is very inspiring to me. I agree with his point that instead of wasting time thinking and looking at others' accomplishments, use the time wisely to enhance skills in yourself and create a path in it to accomplish your goals. I enjoyed today’s courses on “what matters.” In addition, I started the unit on Entrepreneurship: Earning Income Independently.
I finished three categories today, financial awareness & financial management, time management, and health and productivity. I enjoyed the Ted-watch about time management, and I love what Laura Vanderkam stated, “I don’t have time = it’s not a priority.” It demonstrates how we all have time but it’s just a matter of whether it’s a priority or not.
Many of the videos and articles that I watched and read today are reviews for me. It helped to refresh my memory of job interviews and how to get hired. I also learned about the different websites that specialize in remote working roles, and I also learned about how to negotiate from the videos.
In How to Earn Money Online, the review section of "How to get paid," I learned more about checking accounts. The different types of checking accounts are offered in banks, such as the basic checking account, free account, online-only account, and reward account. In addition, I also learned a lot more about the cypro wallets and resume, cover letter writing.
