Today’s lessons were very interesting because when the words investing came to mind, I really only ever thought of cryptocurrencies and stocks. But today I learned about other methods of trade including Forex and commodities. A valuable thing I took away was to “Never invest more money than you are ready to lose!” It was simple but very important for future trading so I mama get my money and make the most of it.

Today I learned about different ways in which I can help my friends start businesses using their talents. My artistically creative friends love creating jewelry and fashion do it for themselves and their friends but if they could expand their knowledge on how to design bigger projects and how to cater to the public’s interest, they could benefit greatly. So I learned about these techniques and sent my friends pointers.

I had heard about coding quite often but I never really chose to learn about it. Today, I was able to read about coding websites and code “languages.” I explored JavaScript, Node, PHP, Python, and Java. To be smart about investing time into leaning one of these languages, I found Python to be the most important since it’s the most in demand language which would allow me to gain job opportunities.

It was really interesting for me to learn a new term and the contents of it because I had no idea before doing research through Techie. I learned what a niche website is and how to create my own. I had no idea that simple ideas for a website v could generate that much money and allowed me to see it as a possibility for a side job. In general, I learned a very valuable addition to a list of online jobs and money generators that I’be developed during my time with Techie Youth.

Today I explored Pinterest and Twitter and learned about the logistics of each of these media sites. I love using Pinterest and their friendly features but it was enlightening to see what made certain pages successful and it was new for me to learn that creator could get paid for having popular accounts which inspired me to think about starting my own.
Today I continued to learn about the benefit of different social media platforms with a focus on WeChat. It was the first time I’d heard of that app and I learned that it’s the fifth most used app and essential in China. It was helpful to know this to be able to promote products on there quickly in the future.
Today I learned about a variety of social media platforms with a focus on TikTok and Instagram. I learned how to gain a personal or business following, edit photos, and make my account more captivating. Overall, it was most helpful in developing ideas for the future when I may choose to create accounts for business or personal ideas that may be sold or ideas to be spread.
Today I learned how to effectively curate an email list to gain more engaged subscribers. I learned to use personalized assessments to my advantage when doing so and learned why companies use that as a business strategy. I also learned how to create intriguing emails to keep customers engaged and influenced to buy more.

Today I learned how to digitally create art that can be sold. I learned how to use my existing talents and monetize them.

Today I learned how to properly receive a check and cash it. I read about the steps, where to sign, and where to deposit it safely.
THURSDAY JULY 28
Today I completed my Crafts assignment. I was able to think of a new and unique product that could possibly be sold to the public. I thought of the materials that would be needed to make it, how much it would cost, how much the profit would be, and good was to pitch it. I included my drawing of the item and the Techie Youth logo as well.
FRIDAY JULY 29
Today I watched many videos and read articles about the process of catering to your audience effectively. I learned how to study what my audience needs most and what would intrigue them enough to buy it, how they’d use it, etc.
Today I went through a long process of thinking up a business proposal. I added my idea and the description, logo I created, and overall summary of what could occur during the first 3 months of business. I submitted the assignment and included what future goals I have for improvement as well.
Today I dived into how it would be to start a business from scratch. I watched videos on how to accumulate enough money to do so and also different techniques like loans and business proposals. I did my own research entrepreneurship classes as well that would help me get a head start financially.
Today I learned about a new type of craft. This creative method called laser cutting can allow someone to form precise details that ensure accuracy when creating designs on different objects that can be sold.
THURSDAY JULY 21
Today I was able to make a cover letter in order to have a foundation when applying for jobs and internships. I learned about their benefit and took the time to curate a representative view of my resume. I also dug into how to spot scams when seeking positions and took a quiz to test my knowledge!
FRIDAY JULY 22
Today I learned how to manage anxiety when it comes to anything that is stressing me out. I learned a combination of things including prioritizing mental health and how exercise can help with that immensely by releasing endorphins and allowing for a healthy outlet. When it comes to anxiety, I learned to take it slow, breathe, and identity the issue directly.
Today I made a LinkedIn account. I learned about the variety of benefits including connecting with mentors and people in positions you aspire to be in in the future. I read articles about it and then took the time to create my own account and connect with accomplishes individuals and programs.

Remote Jobs for Beginners (2022)
Today I learned about a multiple of online jobs I can take up on the side in order to make money on the go. I learned about writing jobs like technical writers, story based, and editors. I also learned about virtual assistant jobs for corporate work and also graphic design jobs, all of which can be my main job as well.
TUESDAY JULY 19
Contingency plans
I learned to be more critical and analytical when addressing scenarios as a whole. I learned to be more aware of possible outcomes and deal with the most imperative and negative one in order to protect my, for example business, from it. I learned to think slightly backwards to gain the most when protecting my plans.
I learned that whether I like STEM and AI or not, I can greatly benefit from learning about it. Technology is currently advancing rapidly and having a background and information on it can be very helpful and open up new job offers and interests.
I learned how to professionally let an employee off when it is the best choice e for the success of your business. I learned professional skills and techniques, when it is appropriate to do so, and how to make sure you are acting appropriately as a boss.
Today I learned that it is impossible to do everything alone and to rely on other people when trying to maintain your business. It is okay to ask for help, and usually it makes it better. A growing business would benefit from partnerships that can give your great deals as you order and lowers the cost of your production (economies of scale).
I learned different Web Development skills such as how to create a website that will be beneficial to my business. I also learned how to use libraries to be able to control pages.
I learned that there are many different ways of practicing and perfecting interest to be able to earn money. In videos consisting of producing music videos, I see a variety of skills presented to earn a living.
Today I learned that there are 2 different types of entrepreneurship. There is am SME, Small Medium Enterprise entrepreneurship, which is where companies stay small and is usually a service business serving a need to the public. It is also important to the economy. There is also IDE, Innovation Driven Enterprise entrepreneurship, where global markets serve but lose money before they exponentially gain.
