Good Morning to you all, I am Fadimatu Muhammad Nasir from Techie Youth, Yola, Nigeria.

I am sharing with you my experience at our program of today.

I have learned about Public image, Social media and how to get job.

As a remote worker, you have to know your public image as your social media and how you can get job.

Public image is your footprint in social media, public image talks about you, your character, your lifestyle and your activities.

Social media are interactive technologies that facilitate the creation and sharing of information, ideas, interests, thoughts and other forms of expression through building of virtual networks. it's a side of communication and interaction among people whereby and it create, share and exchange information. social media is a platform that brings the world closer to you.

You have to know that those that want to hire you might Google and search for and about you using your public image, so you have to be very alerted and behave yourself, know what you do and how you do especially at your public image.

Some things that employers looks for when they Google you include; a professional headshot, online portfolio, size of your digital footprint then your character and behaviour.

You may ask, where did the remote worker and how do they get job, the answer is; they get job via their LinkedIn, Glassdoor and indeed, these three are the main stream job sites that have options to search for remote work.

Companies like Amazon, Dell, Humana, Aetna, American Express, Xerox and Kaplan are searching for many many employers with a job vacancies of more than 100.

Employment and gig websites that specialise in remote roles that you may ask as someone that want to work remotely are: Remotive, Remote.Co, We work remotely, GoAbroad, Working Nomads, Dynamite jobs, Stack and over flow ofcourse.

Good Morning,

My name is Fadimatu Muhammad Nasir, a Techie Youth student, Yola, Nigeria.

Today, am going to share my experience about what I learned at Techie Youth.

Am going to talk on Time Management. In my own understanding:

Time management is the way of using your Time effective to come out with a productive result, it is consider as the key to efficient working and critical skill in modern time,

Managing your time well can help you improve in your career. Organizing each day helps you to complete work on time, stay engaged during important meetings and give you space to be creative and proactive in your tasks. Having strong time-management skills can ultimately lead to accomplishing key goals and advancing in your position.

Some important time management skills that one can use include:

Organization, Goal Setting, Prioritization, Stress Management, Communication, Planning etc.

Am explaining some of the Important Skills Management that I have mentioned above:

Prioritization: Proper prioritization helps you stay organized and structure your day in a way that makes the most sense for you.

Organization: organizational Time Management is most powerful when it's combined with analytic tools such as productivity benchmarking, and it spans and layers analysis. The goal is to eliminate low-value activities and use the time saved to redeploy talent or reduce head count.

Goal Setting: By setting goals, employees know where the bulk of their time each day should be focused. By setting goals, employees know where the bulk of their time each day should be focused. 

Planning: Planning helps an individual to know what all he needs to do urgently and what all can be done a little later. To plan things better, employees should prepare a Task Plan where he can jot down tasks against the time slots assigned to each activity.
