Good evening to you all, as you all know My name is Fadimatu Muhammad Nasir a student from Techie Youth Yola Nigeria. Writing this blog Is to share with you my experience about what i learned at our Program of today here at Techie Youth Yola, For today I learned about Business Model.

Business Model can also be termed as Profit model, For each and every successful business your product or services should either be a solution to an existing problem or provide happiness to customer.

Providing Solution to existing problem is where there is similar product in existence but lack some upgrades, so if your product is upgraded then it becomes a solution to a problem. And providing happiness is for customers to buy product to pleasure themselves like buying car to ease transportation cases.

Note that: Profit model and revenue streams refer to company's plan.

Types of Profit Model

1. Product model: is all about renewing, upgrading or modernizing a product that has been in existence

2. Rental or leasing model: this deals with renting product to customers and they pay for the services and the product will be reverse to the company.

3. Advertising model is a business model that the company will advertise a product of a different company thereby receiving funds as exchange.

4. Commission Model: goes highly with affiliate marketing. It happens such way that if you invite someone and register to a particular business. Then you get referral bonus through that.

Components of Profit model

• Production and operating components.
• Sales and marketing components
• Delivery of good and services

For starting or lunching a new startup business you have to know that doing business alone leads to short/low amount of success that's why division of labour is very important, whereas If you alone can carryout all the business activity you will be very tired and stressful but when you divide the activities into different offices, each office will do it's own activity accordingly and professionally being the officer good at his own field. Which you alone may specialized and have the skills of each office but can't do perfect or good at all when it comes to jam packing all work together at the same time.

While dividing offices for your business, you can divide it into; Chief executive officer (CEO), Chief Technogy officer (CTO), Chief marketing officer (CMO) and many more, note that we only have one CEO in a particular business for a matured executive plan.

And you have to get a good partners with whom you will work together (do the business) as a team. And you have to build a good relationship with your partners.

And you have to plan a very good executive plan on a paper before lunching it or putting it into action (real life practice).

For each and every person that want to be an entrepreneur he/she needs some requirements and skills to start up the business, so Entrepreneurs has shown and analyse some basic skills that every entrepreneur should possess which were termed the 5 skills every entrepreneur should have.

They are as follow;

Communication: to have a good skills of communicating with people, partners and customers and investors.

Sales: to know and master the sells strategies that works best for him.

Focus: to focus and put more attention on his business, spend and do many research regarding his business.

Ability to learn.

Business strategy .

Good day to you all, I am Fadimatu Muhammad Nasir from Techie Youth here to share my experience on what I learned today at our Program Techie Youth, For this very day, I learned about How to become a Learder and either entrepreneurship is right for you.

A leader is a person who rule, lead and direct a specific community (known as followers) at a particular time. In entrepreneurship a leader is a big investor or entrepreneur who deals usually with innovation driven entreprise, directs and monitor the in and out of the business. Know how customers appreciate, like and welcome a product including prons and cons of it.

To be a leader, one has to have and acquire some certain qualities which are;

• A good leader should know how to speak and talk with people.
• Have to maintain and keep the secret of his business.
• A good leader should know how to present himself as a leader.
• How to talk and convince investors.
• He should know how to speak in a public as a boss, he have to be a dynamic presenter to ask masters.
• A good leader should have learn through a master after following him before he becomes a leader.
• A good leader should know his customer and market very well.
• Should interact with his followers friendly and in discipline manner.

How to be an entrepreneur.

Am entrepreneur should possess both hard and soft skills, (most especially the soft skills) and Hard skills are skills that require high amount of energy and body parts to be done, they can be learn within a short period of time and requires a practical experience such as; Photoshop works, cooking, coding or programing, graphic design and many more while Soft skills are things that require not as much energy as hard skills and can't be learn within a short period of time, some examples of soft skills include leadership, communication, team work, collaboration, time management, and all the courses under "improving your quality of life". So of you have this quality then you are good to go for entrepreneurship and if not, you have to get them first.

What is Innovation?

Innovation according to dictionary, is the act of innovating; the introduction of something new, in customs, rites, etcetera. Innovation is solving existing problem that arose, it deals with generating value to a specific proble, that is renewing and upgrading what some one else publish or produce. It is like you created a phone with buttons for the first time and I rebrand and upgrade it by making it to be soft touched, a nonbuttoms phone.

Invention is producing some thing brand new to the world, publishing, creating or providing new to the world product that never exits before. Invention is what leads to innovation because innovation is only done when something have to be updated. Marging Innovation and invention ideas leads to commercialisation

And commercialisation is the process of applying business methodology to something in order to get profit, to exploit something for maximum financial gain, sometimes by sacrificing quality.

We have some types of innovation which are:

Technology: to ease things as technology is brought to simplify things.

Process.

Business model: have to do with weither your product is satisfying customers, making them happy or providing solution to their problem.

Position.

Others.

Some categories of innovation include:

Disruptive: to disturb people with your product awareness, providing high awareness and advertisement.

Incremental: increase product, rebrand and advert.

Lateral: making awareness and product availability at a late time.

Good morning to you all, My name is Fadimatu Muhammad Nasir from Techie Youth Yola, Nigerian. I am here again to share my experience with you about what I learned today at our program Techie Youth.

For today, I learned about How to move from Passion to Idea or Technology.and how to select a beachhead market.

Firstly, for a person to move from. Passion to Idea; as known that ideas are theories that are yet to be practice and problem in mind that one want to solve, but not practical. Ideas according to this topic is the problem one want to solve. And Technology is bring purposely to ease things to make things easier and straight forward, Technology is a solution to a certain problem. Money is a Technology and at the same time can be called an idea if the owner can't program it.

Some basic steps that one can follow to move from Passion to either idea or technology are:

Knowledge.

Capability.

Connection.

Financial assets.

Name recognition.

Past work experience.

Passion.

Commitment focus, dedication and punctuality, etcetera

So let me explain some of the afformentioned basics

Knowledge: which is define as Awareness of a particular fact or situation; a state of having been informed or made aware of something, it can be fact, information, and skills acquired by a person through experience or education, the theoritical or practical understanding of the subject. From the said definition of knowledge, one can move from Passion ofcourse to both idea and Technology because he/she can create or think of a problem and use experience to solve it.

Capability: is the capacity or power to overcome a problem. Capability leads from Passion to technology.

Past work experience: one can come out with a solution of an existing problem or an idea from the past work experience acquired.

How to select a beachhead market

The term beachhead is derived from a military strategy that advocates that, as you are approaching an enemy territory, you should plan and focus all your resources on winning a small border area that becomes a stronghold area from which to advance into the enemy territory.

So from there, it's clear that here in entrepreneurship, a beachhead is the one that knows, study focus and is ready for a business, that is a competitive and willing to win is their goal.

For you to select a good beachhead market, you have to find him with the following attributes;

Well funded.

Ready access.

Competition.

Whole product.

Leverage.

Compelling value proposition.

Personal alignment.

What I mean by well funded is a beachhead to have enough fund to invest and do the business.

Ready access goes with the ability and capacity of a beachhead to be punctual and provide good and services at a right time or even before the time.

Leverage is additional market to the existing market. For example if your market is printing press you can go forward and be selling water for your customers.

I have learned about Public image, Social media and how to get job.

As a remote worker, you have to know your public image as your social media and how you can get job.

Public image is your footprint in social media, public image talks about you, your character, your lifestyle and your activities.

Social media are interactive technologies that facilitate the creation and sharing of information, ideas, interests, thoughts and other forms of expression through building of virtual networks. it's a side of communication and interaction among people whereby and it create, share and exchange information. social media is a platform that brings the world closer to you.

You have to know that those that want to hire you might Google and search for and about you using your public image, so you have to be very alerted and behave yourself, know what you do and how you do especially at your public image.

Some things that employers looks for when they Google you include; a professional headshot, online portfolio, size of your digital footprint then your character and behaviour.

You may ask, where did the remote worker and how do they get job, the answer is; they get job via their LinkedIn, Glassdoor and indeed, these three are the main stream job sites that have options to search for remote work.

Companies like Amazon, Dell, Humana, Aetna, American Express, Xerox and Kaplan are searching for many many employers with a job vacancies of more than 100.

Employment and gig websites that specialise in remote roles that you may ask as someone that want to work remotely are: Remotive, Remote.Co, We work remotely, GoAbroad, Working Nomads, Dynamite jobs, Stack and over flow ofcourse.

Today, am going to share my experience about what I learned at Techie Youth.

Am going to talk on Time Management. In my own understanding:

Time management is the way of using your Time effective to come out with a productive result, it is consider as the key to efficient working and critical skill in modern time,

Managing your time well can help you improve in your career. Organizing each day helps you to complete work on time, stay engaged during important meetings and give you space to be creative and proactive in your tasks. Having strong time-management skills can ultimately lead to accomplishing key goals and advancing in your position.

Some important time management skills that one can use include:

Organization, Goal Setting, Prioritization, Stress Management, Communication, Planning etc.

Am explaining some of the Important Skills Management that I have mentioned above:

Prioritization: Proper prioritization helps you stay organized and structure your day in a way that makes the most sense for you.

Organization: organizational Time Management is most powerful when it's combined with analytic tools such as productivity benchmarking, and it spans and layers analysis. The goal is to eliminate low-value activities and use the time saved to redeploy talent or reduce head count.

Goal Setting: By setting goals, employees know where the bulk of their time each day should be focused. By setting goals, employees know where the bulk of their time each day should be focused. 

Planning: Planning helps an individual to know what all he needs to do urgently and what all can be done a little later. To plan things better, employees should prepare a Task Plan where he can jot down tasks against the time slots assigned to each activity.
