Today at techie youth I had computer troubles for most of the day, but I went back to finish watching and reading all of the links on both subjects. I went back to trades to watch more tips on what is tradable and what isn't. After that I went to watch the continuation of ads. I learned how to design ads for each app as well as what the add should include to get people to click on them.

Today at techie youth I learned all about ads and how they can help boost your business. I learned that you can create ads for almost every social media platform and how. I watching videos on how to create ads on Facebook and instagram, tomorrow will be twitter.
Today at techie youth I learned about content creating to sell digital goods. I watched a YouTube video about content creating and the tip she gave was to make people excited wait and be excited about your content so you get more traction on videos. Im excited to finish the lesson because the assignment in the end looked interesting.
Today i learned about the color theory when it comes to art and selling art. Most of this unit is about jobs you can do online or on the side. My father is an artist and did something similar, he taught me a lot about the color theory but reading the information techie youth provided was interesting. Making quality art is important for making money in the business.
Today I finished the video editing presentation which had various informative videos. It was a continuation of yesterdays work. Along with that I read a couple of articles that talked about how you can make money while tutoring online which is something I am genuinely interested especially with the school year starting up soon. Its the perfect side hustle to make some money.
Today at techie youth I continued the freelance editing unit. This time I watched various videos on how to edit using adobe. I learned a couple technical tips that will help me if I decide to one day pursue freelance editing.
Today at techie youth I learned all about freelance editing and how much money one can really make while editing. I watched a day in the life video of a freelance editor and he would make 30 + dollars while editing videos for people, he worked on his own schedule and had a good balance between work and life. Being a freelance editor interests me as a side job and Im excited to learn more about it.
Today was a repeat of yesterday. I learned more about websites and website domains. I also took a quiz on different acronyms that have to do with different sections of different websites
Today I watched a two hour video as well as some shorter ones on YouTube about how to make a website. I learned about URLS, coding, domains and more. Websites are one of the first steps of creating a business
Today at techie youth i read multiple articles and even watched youtube videos on how to modify clothing. Knowing how to cut and sew clothing can be very useful when making money. nowadays vintage clothing is in and selling, being able to provide that can make you a lot of money.
I finished the 3 hour video about adobe illustrator and learned how to officially use adobe in a way that will benefit me the most. These days everything is online so digital art is at its prime. Selling digital art can make you more than a living wage. Learning how to use platforms like adobe makes your art better quality and therefore more money.
Today i watched two videos on how to use adobe photoshop and how to edit pictures, and drawings. You can make a lot of money off of digital art so learning how to properly edit can be very useful
Today I learned about commodities and which ones can be traded or not. I learned that salt is a commodity that you can not trade or sell, along with certain foods and other items. Oil is the most common sold commodity as well as natural gas. Vocabulary like "going long" and "going short" are used when talking about holding a stock or selling it immediately.
Today at Techie youth I learned about forex trading, what it was, and many misconceptions when it comes to it. I used to think forex was a scam because I never deeply looked into it at all. All I've seen are peoples social media saying they're a "forex trader" but it was always a pyramid scheme. Watching the YouTube videos techie youth provided on how to become a forex trader was very insightful and im excited to continue on with this unit.
Today at Techie Youth I learned a lot about stocks but mostly the basics. I learned about different kind of stocks and what they all do. I also went through flash cards on quizlet with all of the kind of stocks. I learned about common stocks which is usually the stocks people invest in. Private stocks were interesting to learn about but they're really hard to invest into. With private stocks people get to chose who invests and whatnot. Unless you know someone that connected, its very unlikely to be able to invest in it.
Today at techie youth I learned some tips and tricks that are important when hiring your team for your company. I learned that background checks should always be ones main priority. Ive actually recently watched videos on my own about entrepreneurship and the dos and donts when letting people in. Those videos have been just as informative as these. I learned that the interview process should be thorough and listening to your employees opinion is important to create a safe and healthy work environment.
Im still half way through the video about partnerships and how it could be risky in a business, but I learned some cool things. Reading contracts is probably if not the most important thing when having business partners. Things can easily go left and people have been scammed out of their own business because they have signed away their rights without knowledge.
Today at techie youth, I learned what it looks like to be an entrepreneur. I watched various YouTube videos on peoples day in the life. In the last video I watched, the girl started her mornings at 6am and was in bed by 10pm. I noticed during her day she had more free time than most and was able to really focus on herself and her wellbeing. She went to the gym, ate home cooked dinners, journaled and much more. During her day she did do work for her business but overall she had a good balance between the two. I am now more interested in becoming my own boss and learning more about that at techie youth.
Today at Techie Youth I learned about taking care of every aspect in your life and improving everyday. I had to make a list about different areas in my life and what I would like to improve. The point is that once I get the credits needed and graduate from techie youth, I can go back to the list and see what I've improved in. so far the things I need to improve in are time management, health, stress management, financial responsibility and, productivity. I made my goals small so that I can be more productive and not overwhelm myself. I hope to graduate from techie youth with improvements in every aspect.
Today I learned all about ones personal health and how certain activities can affect it. I learned that while working a remote job you must keep up with your own health since you will be at home most of the time. It can get very easy to get caught up in unhealthy habits while working at home but here are some tips I learned that'll help you.
Working in bed may seem tempting but it is very counterproductive. Working where you sleep can mess with your body and cause you to lose sleep because your body has gotten used to lying in bed for multiple hours. Instead, working on a table or outside of the bedroom can be much better. Eating habits also heavily affect both your physical and mental health. Making sure you target the food groups your body needs during meals is vital, as well as drinking water and maintaining hydrated. Personally for me, I've noticed now as Im eating better I have more energy and can be more productive throughout the day. Eating fast food too much caused me to oversleep, worsen my mental health and, have less energy throughout the day.
Today at techie youth i learned all about scams, what to look for, and how to avoid them. I learned that when a job is offering you more money that usual for a position, it’s most likely a scam. Jobs wouldn’t pay someone more to work when they can pay them less. I also learned that when a product is advertised for less than what it usually is priced, it might be a scam. A lot of people do identity theft and market a product that you will never receive, if you do receive the product it will most likely be fake or damaged. The articles and videos i’ve watched today informed me on how to make smart choices when consuming or applying for certain jobs. If you’re iffy about a job offer, you can search the company name with the word “scam” right after and the information you need should be all there.
Today at techie youth I watched many videos and read many articles about the pros of working online. I learned that a lot of people travel the world and experience all the fun life has to offer, while also getting paid to fund that lifestyle. Although it seems easy and fun, it all depends on the company. Some companies have restrictions on where you can be while working. This was the first part of what I learned, the second is resumes and cover letters. Before this, I didn't know what a cover letter was nor have I written one. I used to leave that part blank when applying for jobs but now I feel prepared enough to confidently write one.
