Today at Techie Youth, I finished the writings unit and started a little bit on the assignment but also continued to start another unit. The next unit was Artificial Intelligence. I learned what a AI is and the different fields you can pursue and how you can build a career in AI even without experience or a degree. And finally I learned about beginning to work on machine learning projects to present to future employers and AI business partners.
Today at Techie Youth I worked on the different roles for writers and different kinds of jobs you can work as a writers. For example costumer service isn't always only taking phone calls but there are also text based customers where you can interact through text, email, or live chat, using your skills as a writer. Another role is ghost writing where you are hired to write content for someone else and giving full copyright over it.
Today at Techie Youth, I started with learning about copyright. Copyright is different from writing and is more of a marketing service for a company. Then I learned about blogging, where they write about their passions on their website and how they earn from their writings. Finally, I moved on to guest blogging which is a way that people can expose their writing content to more people, where they can write on other peoples sites introducing you to a bigger audience.
Today I wrapped up niche websites after finishing the monetizing module and started the writing unit. I was introduced to writing and learned about the roles for writing, the different type of categories you can write and publish to earn money. For example, magazines and journals, and books and self-published works.
Today at Techie Youth, I continued the niche website unit. Finishing the technicalities part of the unit I moved on to learning about content creation, making quality content to appeal to your audience, then how to get website visitors, and finally started learning how to monetize website traffic.
After finishing the Product Manager Unit, I went back to learning about niche and niche websites. Unlike the recent units that had long articles, it was better because there were videos to explain and demonstrate information on niche websites. I first learned about the profit from making a niche website, then I learned to plan and choose a trending theme that will gain peoples interest. Finally I began learning of the technicalities part of building a website, such as your domain and the requirements for your niche website.
Today I learned about Product Managers. They are people responsible for guiding the idea of a product to its launch. Through articles I learned about the details of starting a a product manager and their role in planning and producing the product. However, there were a lot of articles that were just long losing my focus most of the time, where I skipped some details along the way.
Today at Techie Youth, I learned more about video editing and how you can earn money and get a job from it. The slides provided were helpful because they were organized and concise, teaching me the main points of getting hired, such as how you should market yourself and how you should build your relationship with your clients. After that, there were various resources that showed how you should price your edits to make yourself a good candidate to hire. And finally, I learned about video editing portfolios which will reel showcase your best works and give people a sense of professionalism, making them think of you as the best choice.
Today at Techie Youth, I continued to learn about establishing your video editing environment. From the slides, I read and watched the videos which included guides and tutorials that were able to demonstrate the different things each individual software can provide for you to choose. The slides were also helpfully organized in a way to show the availability of the software's and programs on different devices and their costs.
Today I finished the selling digital unit ending it with the last section, learning about Twitter ads and sponsored tweets, and moved on to learning about video editing. This was something I was interested in so it was nice to learn about how you can use this to earn money and have a career with it. I then moved on to learn about the basics from the slides provided. The slides even provided movie/show clips to demonstrate the editing and also the behind the scenes of the making. Finally, before I ended, I learned about how I can start editing for myself and the different programs.
Today at Techie Youth, I learned about how to advertise your digital products. This section was pretty similar to other units on how to use social media to publicize your products, like learning how to use Instagram and Twitter, and its hashtags. It was quite boring and tiring to read and watch about guide videos that explained similar things from another unit, but its almost over and I'm going through it.
After trading intangibles, I went back to how to sell digital assets that I skipped. It was a really boring day because most of the content were long articles that I had to read and a few videos that were put in between. Even so, there was a lot of new information that I learned, such as sales funnels and the influence and use email marketing on your products.
Today at Techie Youth, I worked on 2 assignments from 2 units. One was making a mobile app, where I made a app version of my website, where you can read and learn about Techie Youth. Then I worked on the assignment for producing music. I wasn't sure how to make the music themed, so I made a soundtrack in the background that fit the mood of a short video that explained what Techie Youth does and aims for.
Today at Techie Youth, I started by finishing the creating digital assets unit of selling digital goods, also completing the quiz at the end. Then, I went to fix my web development assignment because it was lacking some of the requirements. After that I moved to business models and started trading intangibles, and realized I skipped one of the units how to sell digital goods, which I will go back to after finishing trading intangibles.
Today at Techie Youth, I continued with the music production unit, learning about the career roles and how to produce music on your computer. However, I might have worked on one of the assignments for the web development at the same time and submitted that after I was done with it. After I finished the two categories of the unit, I moved on to monetization where they taught how you can distribute and license your music to profit from it. And finally, I learned about stock audios where you can make money off of selling usage rights to your audio files, tracks, or sounds in professional quality.
Today at Techie Youth, I moved on to the next category of selling digital products which is music downloads. I was first taught about how you can publish and sell your music among distribution services. Then there was a unit of music production where I was able to learn how you can create your own music with your computer and that good music does not have to be made in expensive production studios. There was even a series of videos where they demonstrated the process of someone creating a cover song with a music video over a course of 5 days.
Today, I finished the learning how to codes segment of web development by finishing the python and java full course tutorial videos. After that I took the quiz after the unit, getting a passing score. Finally, I started the last unit of web development which is getting hired as a web developer. In this unit, videos were provided to learn how they hire people and how you should build your portfolio and volunteer and get involved.
Today at Techie Youth, I learned about how to code python. Python is a high demand language in web development, which follows its own unique syntax. A YouTube tutorial was provided and explained the whole course/ fundaments of python for beginners. The video was once again very well explained and easy to understand, however, it was 6 hours long so I wasn't able to finish the whole tutorial today and stopped near the end.
Today, I focused on one type of code today which is PHP. Its is a popular web-development language for many years and easy to use. Techie Youth provided a 5 hour video that explains how to program PHP, which had a lot of step by step explanations and the different components in coding. It was hard to keep taking in new information everyday for different things even if they are similar, but there are always a lot of information that is provided around me that can help me understand.
Today was a fun day at Techie Youth, where I learned about the different types of codes and when they are used. It was a fun day because in between the lesson videos there were interesting coding games that I was able to play to experience coding. The games were also made with interesting themes, for example, one had a adventure theme where you collect gems and fight enemies. But besides that, there were videos providing tutorials and a lot of explanation for each type of code.
Before I started another section of web development, I finished the last video explaining database. After that, I was able to start more sections, learning about web design and how you can market your designs to clients, and also about google analytics and how you can use and include this in your website. Additionally, I was able to finish an assignment for the selling art unit, where I posted a photograph on Saatchi Art.
Today at Techie Youth, I had an easy day learning about databases, continuing the 8 hour video of the full course of database design. The person teaching, Caleb, was able to explain the whole course in a way that is easy to understand. He first began introducing databases and database terms, then continued to explain different designs, relationships and more. There was a lot of information from watching the long video, which I am still not done with, that were explained well for an easy understanding.
Today at Techie Youth, I continued the selling digital goods unit, where I learned more about the databases of website. In this category, there was a lot of information explaining databases and how it is used. It then led to the explanation of SQL which was what lets you interact and manipulate the databases. There was a lot of information through articles and videos making It a tough subject to understand but there were a lot of resources that can help explain in detail.
Last time I was able to learn how you can do use the basics of the codes taught to create your website and was taught about how WordPress is such an easy system to use. Today videos explained how WordPress is such an effortless and customizable tool for your website. WordPress allows you to choose from hundreds of themes and is extremely user-friendly, minimizing the amount of technical skills one would need to produce their own website.
Finally, today I was able to learn new things within website development, version control. With the version control files can be managed and has a flexible system retaining its history of changes. There are two main version control programs that are used in mainly in most websites, SVN and GIT. I was able to learn how to use these programs and the difference of benefits for each of your websites.
Today at Techie Youth I continued learning about the development of webs from the selling digital goods unit. In order to start a web you will need to learn about the basic codes for the websites layouts and how to insert things such as multiple pages and images. I learned about 3 of the basic codes shown from the videos yesterday and finished the rest today. After learning about developing the web, I moved on to the next category which are the different roles of these sites. From the video it allowed me to understand the many roles and importance that are needed for the website to develop. And finally I learned about how to host a website publicly and important things to know about when administrating a website, such as the web security where SSL is expected on websites and explained.
Continuing the selling digital goods unit, I began to learn about 2 long categories, video games and WordPress themes. Because I enjoy video games and find voice acting appealing, the creation and selling process of making your own game was interesting. I also see many writers and bloggers I read from use WordPress so it was interesting to learn about on how someone can create their own website. Learning the basic coding was something that stood out to me and was something I would like to learn more about to use for a personal project one day.
At Techie Youth, today I started a new unit about selling digital goods. I am introduced to the topic of digital goods by learning about different kinds of digital goods that can be sold, such as eBooks, eService's, and music. It also tells me about the benefits from doing business with digital goods, for example allowing you to be more free with your products, as well as disadvantages and challenges such as competing against free content.
After the introduction, I am sent to learn about how to create different digital goods. I start the topic by learning about eBooks and writing quality stories to sell online. Then I learned about webinars, online course creation, podcasts, stock photos and finally mobile apps. Each category is explained through articles and videos about how you can create these things and successfully sell them to all sorts of people.
Today at Techie Youth, I learned about online trading where money can easily be made by investment such as stocks. Through videos and articles provided, I was able to learn about how investing can allow you to easily make money from stocks and how to analyze them properly to make a smart investment. However, there are no guaranteed profits, having obvious risks of stock prices dropping, leading to you losing money. Overall, so far I only learned the general idea of stocks and how to analyze them in order to intelligently invest for the likelihood of a successful trade.
Today I reviewed how to sell art and social themes and retook the quizzes that did not result good. Afterwards I continued to look at the newer social medias listed, where I learned of the ways you can earn on Twitter, Pinterest, and Snapchat. Videos and articles told ways you should present your account and interact with your audiences. They also gave tips on how to grow the account, and if it was successful it will allow you to earn money, either from your own business or being monetized and affiliated.
Then when I finished with the remaining social media themes, I started to learn about how you get paid from online jobs. Because I only started, I only read an article about what checking accounts are and the difference between checking accounts and savings accounts, and then another on how to write a check properly
Techie Youth is a program that teaches about how we can remotely earn money and enjoy our life with a job we are passionate about. Techie Youth mentions the benefits, such as no commuting, health benefits, increase in productivity. The founder also demonstrates through a video of how you can enjoy so much in your life fully while still earning money. He also brings up that many workers who work hours in offices or just outside, do jobs they dislike and not have passion for it leading them to feeling burnt out. The solution he comes up with is online jobs. Doing online jobs allow people to follow their desires and become independent, allowing them to work longer and passionately without burning out.
After learning of the benefits of the benefits of online jobs, I learned about the ways you can work remotely through social media like Instagram and Facebook. Videos and articles were linked showing ways you can build a business to sell your products and how to grow an audience. In addition, there were videos demonstrating how you should edit your photos which can gain a lot of attention.
Today, in Techie Youth I learned about how artists build up their business online. Working within the art industry you are not only an artist who earns money from creating art, but also an entrepreneur and business man. To be able to earn from the things you make, you have to be able to know the strategies in gaining the attention of an audience and future consumers. It is important to build up your brand/name and create connections with your audience. To build your name, using social media such as Instagram and Pinterest, are great platforms to share and engage with your audience keeping their interest on you, laying a foundation for you to begin growing as an artist. However, these steps to grow can be done by professionals who work on these and once these foundation is laid, it becomes easier for artists to focus on their creations and artworks as they grow.
