Today I have learned more about recruiting. I learned about different software that recruiter use for different reasons. Some recruiters will use software programs for multiple resumes so they could just look up key factors. I also learned about different specialties and how there are different ways and terms for a recruiter to understand and make the best decision for the choice of whom they will employ.
Today I have learned about how to recruit. There was so much that an employer needs to do before they hire an employee. First they'll need to look at resumes. Next it would be cover letters. Cover letters are really useful because they're brief descriptions of yourself and your skills. Next comes interviews. There's plenty of ways to have an interview but what's best now is virtual. There are a lot of factors that comes with recruiting someone.
Today I learned to go back and fix mistakes. All day I have been working on correcting and improving my assessments. It's shows growth and I am able to learn from my mistakes and better myself.
Today I had learned about different departments that work in businesses. Whether it's SEO, public relations, and digital marketing. The workers at all of these jobs have a some of the same skills. Some of these skills are typing, communicating, good with social media. All of these attributes allows theses departments to run right.
Today I had learned plenty of things that an assistant needs to know how to do. For instants they need to be able to communicate. Communication is key to everything in life it helps with understanding. I learned that there is different meanings for things in British English compared to American English. For example chips in British English is fries and chips in American English means crisps in British English.
I have also learned about different webcam meeting platforms. Some names are Zoom, Google Hangouts, Webex, Teams meetings, ect. This platforms can hold conferences and different types of meetings. This helps out for people who can't come in person and really was pushed on people during Covid-19. All these things that I have learned really helps millions of business workers everyday and make their lives a little easier.
Today I had learned about using google and all there apps that it offers. Whether its gmail, slides, docs. I use this apps because they automatically save everything. All of this can saved to my drive and its just very useful. I also have learned about social media. I have social media and I know in order to grow on it you need an audience and just put yourself out there. Its very easy to use social media ad this is what gets you well known and helps make business boom.
Today I learned about being a virtual assistant. In order to be in this field of work you have to be very professional. Whether its answering the phone, typing up an email, or inputting information on google sheets. You don't want to come off as rude, unprofessional. You are the first person that they meet/ speak to and you'll want to make a good first impression and this reflects back on the business that you work for as well. This field of work is very important because theses are the people who help out the bosses and make it easier for businesses to be organized and prepared.
Today I have learned about selling art. Even though I didn't fully finish the course I feel like I learned plenty. I learned that this has to be something you really have to be interested in and passionate about. There is multiple ways to sell art work. There are platforms like Etsy, Instagram, Facebook, ect. Before you even sell you have to come up with an idea of what you want your art work to look like and who is going to be your audience. These are the people who are going to buy your pieces. You could either be a freelancer or work for a company. which ever one you decide will determine your income and how much time you'll have to make the piece.
Today I had learned a little about video editing. I didn't know how much you needed to know and do to edit a video. I learned about freelancing editing and the differences between freelancing and in a business. It varies between the payment and the experience. I also had learned about the cuts and effects. How much of an effect it has on the audience and the piece. It takes someone who is string willed about their work and love what they do to do video editing.
Today I have learned about net and gross income. I also had learned about budgeting paychecks. I know when I was younger I used to spend my paycheck as soon as I got it, but now I know how to budget and with the videos I have watched I know what are necessities and wants. I also know how to save and a little about investing.
Today I learned about creating mobile apps. I am an apple person and have a lot of apple products so I found the Apple IOS development readings and tutorials interesting. With these guides and tutorials, I learned how some coding skills and was able to know in general how my apple products function in general.
