Today i learned about virtual assistants and the many different tasks that accompany this work field. Small business owners, solopreneurs, busy professionals, and bloggers all use Virtual assistants. When there's just not enough hours in the day to get everything done, it makes sense to outsource tasks to a VA (Virtual Assistant.) This frees up valuable time for the client to work on projects and tasks only they can complete. Plus, it's much more cost-effective to hire a VA than an in-office employee. For the client, this means savings on things like office supplies, health insurance, and other employee benefits programs. After reading a couple of articles today, I learned that it is recommend that all VA beginners, no matter the profession, pick a niche. Whether you want to be a writer, proofreaders, transcriptionist or, in this case, are wondering how to become a virtual assistant with no experience, the first thing you should do is settle on a niche. This will be effective because it will become much easier to find potential clients, land jobs, and establish yourself as an expert when you're focused on a particular group. Managing your own time is an important skill for succeeding as a virtual assistant. Good personal time management will not only allow you to excel at the job, but also to add more clients. And when you add more clients, you increase the amount you can earn.
Today I learned that Business analysts seek first to understand a organization as it is and then imagine how it could be in the future. They shape their understanding of the desired future state by listening to leaders, stakeholders, subject matter experts and project team members. Business analysts then devise ways to get the organization from where it is to where it wants or needs to be. They are the problem-solvers of a company. There are currently an estimated 806,400 business analysts in the United States. The business analyst job market is expected to grow by 14.3% between 2016 and 2026.
Today I learned about SQL, this stands for structured query language, it can also be pronounced as sequel. SQL is a language that communicates with databases. If you ever wanted to pull, edit, add information to a data base, you can use the language SQL to do that. Most relational databases interface through the language SQL. The majority of non-relational databases are considered NoSQL, which is pronounced as no sequel. NoSQL implies that it interfaces without using SQL, Not-Only SQL implies that the database has multiple mechanisms for interfacing with it including SQL.
