Today I learned how to make a beat and the role that music producers are required to do. They help with projects, contracts, recording sessions, etc. I also learned about music theory as well as how to make a beat using GarageBand on my computer as well as many other softwares, GarageBand is just the easiest one to access and use in my opinion. However softwares like Traction 17 can provide more freedom to making the music you want to make.
Today I was able to encounter knowledge towards building a video editing business and hacks to use on premiere pro. The pricing process and advice given throughout the videos is what caught my attention the most and is what I think benefitted me the most. Based on your skills and equipment needed to do your job is how you should price your work. You can price by minute or hour for example, however it is definitely important to ask your clients their budget before offering your services. Knowing how long a project may take can benefit you by understanding before hand how much the client will need to pay. To do this timing yourself while doing a project can give you and estimate on how long it make take as well as give you estimate on how much you will need to charge. I wanted to share some the brief information I was able to learn today and can't wait to use.
I learned how to use many different tools to edit videos as well as how to use them and different strategies to editing a video. I discovered many free editing software such as DaVinci Resolve, shortcut, Hitfilm express, etc. these three softwares are the most popular choices people tend to use. I also learned about final cut pro and Premiere pro. Majority of these softwares can work on Mac or PC which many people tend to have.
Today I learned several techniques used in video editing. I also got the chance to revisit the topic of remote working. I learned that remote learning can have many benefits such as flexible hours for example. however, with remote learning you have to have boundaries which is a very important skill to have because without boundaries you can get easily distracted from your work which stops you from doing your job. even though it is remote work having a relationship or bond with your co-workers are important too. Having these bonds could result in better group work on assignments which makes a better company.
