Learning about web development at Techie Youth today is pretty interesting but also confusing as yesterday's topic about cryptocurrency. Just as in the stock market, being a web developer takes a lot of time and work because a lot of people tend to code when they have to make websites for people or a company. It takes a lot of time and dedication on making these types of websites because, in order to attract some customers, you have to make your website stand out from other websites and that can take a lot of time and effort into it. Although working as a web developer can help you gain more than the average income, it takes a lot of time to put detail into these websites like how it takes almost a year maybe longer to make a demo version of a video game(just an estimate).
Watching some videos about the rules of investing in the stock market makes total sense and I agree with the 7 principles fully. But getting into the stock market in my opinion is pretty confusing and hard to follow as a whole. But I also heard you can gain a lot of money by doing it correctly but since I'm not 18 yet, I can't really sign up for the stock market yet. Cryptocurrency is a basic current I've heard about but confusing when it comes relevant to the stock market because the stock market is filled with a lot of numbers and graphs. Although I understand somewhat, it's still kinda confusing and hard to comprehend. But overall, it's an interesting topic to learn about as a whole.
Organizing social media platforms is a skill I've heard about and many people make serious money off of it which is pretty surprising at such an easy task. In my opinion, I think organizing social media platforms for YouTubers or famous people is kinda out of my box because I'm not very good at organizing stuff and I'm not much of a social media poster and user. But if the task is pretty simple and I can make a quick income off of it, I can try and complete the task as I'm told. But it kinda really depends on who hires me and if they are looking for a required/certain skill to be their social media organizer which many things can change for me.
Buying Junk or having stuff I rarely use can be a quick source of income and seeing that this is one of the ways to gain money is honestly not that surprising. A lot of people I know do this and it's a good method to use because I have some books that I've read and selling them could be a great way to gain my money back. But the thing is, it's hard to do so since there is a ton of things to do to start selling things. Sure, those garage sales are pretty good in an open area but my garage is in the backyard where people rarely are. Also, some stores require an ID to sell books so I'm going to have to wait until I'm 18 to start selling which kinda sucks. But it doesn't mean I can get a headstart on all of this and watching all of these videos about selling and reselling to gain profit made me think that I could get a start on what to sell and create accounts on ebay or some other known selling company like amazon.
I have learned the whole topic of writing and learned new things too. It helps me view the world differently because writers, bloggers, and websiters have a new perspective on how they write and achieve their goals. They know that it's hard to do so but I respect them for how they commit these impossible goals to become noticed on the internet. But also expressing your feelings on the internet can gather many people to agree with you leading to a creation of a community that can support you throughout your journey. Writing a whole blog today was kind of difficult because I'm not much of a writer when it comes to typing all of my thoughts due to me having an "authors block" and I get stuck on what to say next. But overall, writing as a whole is pretty amazing because you can do many things with it such as propaganda, news, thoughts as a whole, and many more.
Learning about backlinks was pretty complicated but watching some videos and reading some articles helped me understand more about backlinks. Backlinks seem to be a whole complex process as a whole because although it helps bloggers and website designers gain income there are a lot of steps that come with it. Customer service on the other hand is an interesting job that is shown throughout most daily lives because most customer services are handled by solving a problem when the customer is having difficulties with their product. It's a helpful tool for most people to use and I have much respect for people to do this sort of job since they will try their best to help you and your needs.
Learning about blogging was pretty simple at Techie Youth due to the format they put into it which makes it easier for me to understand stuff better. Knowing the amount of money that bloggers make is an insane amount because before I didn't know that bloggers would make more than 20 grand. Blogging is more of an expression of what you're doing and your experience as a whole, it demonstrates your perspective about what you did. Guest blogging is a thing that I haven't heard of before because I've never discovered that phrase ever in my life but learning about this makes total sense after reading articles and watching videos about it. Overall, I find blogging and guest blogging intriguing as a whole and I respect them very much because of what they write, it demonstrates their passion for what they experienced.
Publishing a book is a difficult thing to do but watching these videos on Techie Youth makes things way more simple and easier from my perspective. Although it seems simple, there are a lot of steps to do so I feel bad for authors that have to deal with all of these steps like finding a literacy agent, writing a query letter, etc. But I find it fascinating how these authors still manage to do all of this stuff and manage to get their books published, leading to their success. I also learned about copywriting which I didn't know about until now. But now I know the definition of it which completely makes total sense because these are to influence people to take action and I've seen some advertisements like this. Having a clear definition of what copywriting is makes my daily life more realistic(Figure of Speech sort of).
Learning about writing magazines and journals is pretty interesting at Techie Youth because it gives me a perspective of writers all around the world. You don't even have to be a professional to do so, you can write anything you want as long as it's something you like to write about which is pretty interesting. I'm not really a writer myself but it's pretty cool to see how these journalists act when it comes to finding a story to tell, it gives people some sense of information and knowledge of what they have to say.
Learning about these different platforms filled with videos and surveys just to answer and get income from it is interesting but also frustrating. I find these types of apps frustrating because I've seen some people use these platforms to gain income but it isn't worth it due to many filling out surveys for 5 hours just to maybe get $7 maybe less (just an estimate). Although you get immediate income from these platforms/apps it's not enough to really use these apps as your "part-time job". But I would say it is enough to make quick cash without having to do any type of serious job such as working in finances or data entry etc, etc. But overall these platforms/apps are pretty good but not great for everyone.
Learning many lessons from Techie Youth has been useful this past week but out of all these lessons one thing stood out to me, which is having a job when traveling like being a vlogger, a social influencer, etc. Making money by just traveling is just dedication in my point of view because you're basically enjoying your life while traveling around the world. Although there are some downsides to this, most people do this by doing what they like while making money in the process. There are a lot of jobs that people do but what really matters is if they enjoy this type of work they are working for or at. It all comes down to that amount of work you put into and learning this at Techie Youth has changed my perspective of how people actually work and gain money in the process.
Talking to a mentor is a key aspect that I learned from Techie Youth because having a mentor can prevent you from making mistakes and learning from what they teach you. Emailing them is a start and being specific can help you throughout your journey. Sending them a "Thank You" demonstrates how grateful you are for taking their time off to talk to you. I met a few mentors in my second year of high school and learning these new tips on what to do with mentors gave me a sense of an idea of what to ask. Meeting these mentors as a high school really opened my view towards them and makes me respect them a lot because they take their time to visit our school and focus on the club they used to be in, in this instance robotics.
Time management is skill that I learned at techie youth today and this skill helped benefit my daily life. Without time management my schedule would be a mess but as I got the hang of using this skill my life became easier. There are many steps on how to start with time management such as making a reasonable schedule, this helps put my priorities first and know when and what to begin with. This helps me with plans for upcoming days which is useful as I grow up.
Learning how to successfully work at a remote job consists of many things and it helped me view how working at a remote job isn't just working at home but most of the time it helps people relax while working at home and meeting new people in video calls. An example of this could be productivity, being productive while working is good for our health instead of just sitting in front of a computer sitting there working. Being aware of scams is also a skill I learned by avoiding these types of troubles such as doing some research on the things I buy or look into. Doing this helps me be aware of not making these types of mistakes before it's too late and prevents me from spending more money. Networking with other people helps me gain information and learn from one another. This benefits me and others because it helps me connect with other people in meetings, parties, clubs, school, etc.
I learned how to write a resume, cover letter, and how to prepare for an interview. Writing a resume helps demonstrate what skills and education I have that would fit the job's description. This skill is really useful in helping me get hired for this job. The cover letter is the follow-up of the resume and it demonstrates how formal I am and it explains why I am fit for the position I'm interested in. Preparing for an interview helps me interact with the person that's interviewing me and it shows how prepared I am for an interview. The last thing I learned at Techie Youth is what to do in life and it mainly focuses on what I want to do and if I personally enjoy it or not. Although it might be hard to start, it's best to work for something you enjoy rather than suffer from working for a job you don't enjoy. You always need a follow-up plan on what to do in your life or you're going to be stranded on what to do and what not to do.
