Today at Techie Youth, I learned about video editing. I learned about the pros and cons of freelance work and the life style of someone who works freelance. I also learned about different techniques used in editing, from color grading to cutaways to amplifying sound to fit the scene. Video editing seems interesting to learn so I wanna give it a shot.
Today at Techie Youth I learned about how to maintain a healthy life style and that includes staying in shape, working out is good for all aspects of your body including the brain. I also learned about stress. Relaxing can help you with stress, also talking with someone you trust can also be good.
In Techie Youth today I learned about financial awareness and one aspect of it was budgeting which is very important when it comes to living at your home. Learning how to budget your money ensures that you will always have enough money saved up for needs such as food, paying the bills, etc. I also learned about time management and how important it is. Managing your time allows you to be more productive by planning out what you'll do throughout the day.
Today at Techie Youth I learned about the importance of networking and how know more and more people can help your career. I also learned about scams and how to avoid them, if something seems sketchy or sounds too good to be true then you should be skeptical about it and gather information about the place trying to hire you. Lastly I learned the difference between net worth and gross income with net worth being the amount of money you keep.
Today at Techie Youth I learned about how to successfully work a remote job. It is essential to build good relations with others who work with you. Which makes small talk before zoom calls and during breaks help build trust and making new company in the work place. I also learned that when it comes to remote jobs, remote people work more hours compared to office people.
Today in Techie Youth I learned the importance of maintaining a good image on social media in order to have a good job interview. Jobs want to hire people who seem professional and aren't apart of any controversies that can make the company look bad. I also learned that, surprisingly, there are a lot of jobs that are remote which I think is pretty good for people who prefer getting their work done at their own home. Lastly I learned that in order to get the job that you want you have to be hungry, you have to really want it.
