Your product price should include the price to manufacture and shipping plus a markup fee for your profit. Some websites also take a percentage so you have to include that as well. You also have to look at your competitor's pricing, which can tell you if you can make a profit from your product or not because some competitors may be able to sell your product or a similar product for cheaper because of their manufacturing abilities.

I learned about different types of scams in the art world and the relationship between an artist and a gallerist. I created my own artwork using photoshop but I couldn't upload it to a website to sell it because I was underage and they needed my SSN.

Facebook even lets you sell your artwork and prints through its marketplace and you can even auction them off. I also learned about the process of printing and shipping your art to customers. Some websites even help you print and ship your art at no extra cost to you.

Today I learned about the basics of electronic engineering and concepts like binary code, circuits, and other concepts that are basic for robotics projects. Then I learned about microcontrollers and how they are like minicomputers you can use to create different things like a speaker or an alarm. The most basic type of microcomputer is the Arduino Uno and can be used to learn about robotics and start out your first project but there are many other types of microcomputers like Raspberry Pi and the ATmega328.

Raspberry Pi I basically your own small computer that you can code to process and create many fun projects like creating a retro gaming console using different codes. Arduino is also like Raspberry Pi because you can create your own fun little projects using coding and hardware.
Today I learned how to use different programs to create designs for a laser cutter. Some of these programs are Adobe Illustrator, Inkscape, LibreCad, and CorelDraw. Each of these programs can be used to design products for laser cutting and each one has its own benefits and drawbacks.

I learned about the different ways to make products, whether it's with a 3d printer, or outsourcing it to a different company, which will cost more. I also learned about web design using different websites like blender and tinkercad, then you can 3d print the design and sell them for money.
Today I learned different strategies for trading options and commodities like the Bull Call Spread and the Bear Call Spread. A Bull Call Spread is when you expect the underlying stock to rise in price so you buy a long call with a lower strike price and a short call with a higher strike price so you can limit your losses and offset the premium paid. A Bear Call Spread is when you expect the underlying stock to decrease in price so you buy options at a specific strike price but also sell the same amount of options. I also learned about the different risks when trading and to only trade the amount that you are ready to lose because the worst thing that can happen is that you lose all your capital. This is not applicable to short selling because when you short sell, then your losses are infinite because a stock price can rise infinitely, while it can only drop to 0 so your losses are infinite while your gains are only limited, so it makes it not worth and very high risk.
Today I learned about trading stock options and how it is different from regular stocks. Stock options can yield a more significant profit if the stock price rises than the stock share itself, which is why many people invest in stock options instead of stock. Because of this, you have to pay a premium for stock options and the more volatile a stock is, the greater the premium you have to pay. Unlike stocks, options can expire so you'll have to keep paying a premium and hold the option, kind of like insurance. So even though options can give more profit, it is also more expensive and risky depending on the market.
Today I finished the forex unit and started to learn about stock options and REITS. Buying stock options gives you the right to buy 100 shares of a company at a specific price and can be traded to make a profit. For example, if you buy an option for $100 to buy a stock you can then sell it for more if the price of the stock rises. Even if the price of the stock rises by only a bit, the option will rise higher. I also learned about REITS and the pros and cons of investing in REITS or investing in real estate.
Today I learned about the blockchain and how it works to keep cryptocurrencies secure and not controlled by any centralized government or bank. The blockchain is entirely based on the internet and has no physical location. Everyone that has a crypto wallet will have an address on the blockchain that they can use to access their funds and they can transfer funds with the help of miners that use their mining machines to help process data, in which they will be rewarded with coins. This system allows cryptocurrencies to be run entirely online with the help of users. I also learned a bit about forex and the similarities and differences between forex and regular stock exchanges.
Today I finished my executive summary for my business plan and started learning about trading stocks and cryptocurrencies. I learned what a stock is and the different terminology required to know if you start trading or investing. I also learned different investment methods, whether you're looking for long-term profit and stability or short-term profit with higher risks. Then I started to learn about cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum which run on a new technology called the blockchain. This currency doesn't have a central banking unit or the government to back it up. Hence, it is very volatile and depends entirely on the market, making it a very high-risk investment and a very high reward. I learned how blockchain technology works by using its user's computing devices to compute transfers and then rewards them with bitcoin after so it doesn't need any servers or a physical location, everything is online.
Today I learned the different ways you can fund a startup and which ways are the best and most successful. It is better to ask other people to fund your business rather than using your own money or even using a credit card. Using a credit card is the worst way to fund a company because you are forced to look for returns and if there aren't any then you'll be in a lot of debt. Getting investors to invest in your company for a percentage of the shares of your company is the best way to fund a business because that way, you don't have any risks, and it's the investors taking all the risks. However, if your company starts to make a profit and is successful then the investors will make a huge profit on their investment which will make their investment worthwhile. I also started to plan out my own business and start my executive summary.

I also learned how to brand your business through websites and logos. You need to have a trustworthy designer for your logo and look on the internet to check if anyone else has taken your idea. You don't want to get copyrights infringed because of a logo.
Today I learned different tips and tricks for starting your own business and the end goals of many companies. To start up a successful company, you need to have a clear plan in mind and a clear end goal to know how you will achieve your end goal. For most companies, the goal is either to be bought by a more prominent company and integrated or to become public with its stock on the market to be traded. You also need to keep a close eye on your finances and how you will be able to make money or break even because at the end of the day, a company is to make you money and if it doesn't that you have to drop it.
Today I learned about how to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Working out and exercising is one of the best ways to have a healthy lifestyle because it allows you to train not only your body to look better but also your mind for confidence and self-love. I also started my elective on entrepreneurship and learned the basics like what exactly is an entrepreneur and how to start your business and tips for it to be successful. I learned that being an entrepreneur requires leadership skills and is a big risk but if you can manage to successfully create a good business, there will be a high return.
Today I started learning about scams and the different types of scams to watch out for.
Most scams all have the same red flags and if it's too good to be true, then it is probably a scam. Then, I learned how to manage my time to make the most money out of my time. I learned about increasing productivity and sometimes spending more money may help you make money in the long run rather than saving it. For example, if you spend on a washing machine or dishwasher, then you save time washing dishes or doing laundry that you can then be making money. Also, I learned that it is better to have your extra money in investments whether it's stocks or real estate rather than in a savings account which will make you less money.
Today I finished my resume, cover letter, and my LinkedIn profile. Then I learned to about the interview process for new employees and tips and tricks to help the interview go smoothly. I also found out about the common mistakes made in interviews and common questions that are asked. I also learned about the different ways you can bring up pay and how to negotiate pay because that was a topic I was uncomfortable with. You should know what you are worth and negotiate a pay rate that is reasonable. Next, I learned about the hardships of working remotely and ways to help that. For example how to stay focused and on task even when you are at home, and how to increase productivity with incentives and company meetings. You have to communicate clearly with your team to avoid complications, especially when working online.
Today at Techie Youth, I learned how to start working remotely and the pros and cons of remote work. I learned that there are a lot of benefits to working online including less stress, you can work your own hours, you waste less time commuting, and overall a better work experience. However, there are also many downsides like not being able to see your coworkers, procrastinating, or even overworking. I also learned about banks and the different types of bank accounts and how they benefit different types of people. I learned how to write a check properly and found out that you have to first endorse a check before you cash it which I never knew before. I learned about leadership and the different aspects of a leader that can help you get job opportunities and even different aspects of a job that you should avoid. I also started to make a professional LinkedIn account to find jobs. I started writing my resume and cover letter to share my job experiences and skills.
