How to get a job in AI with no experience

How to get a job in AI with no experience

Personal Projects

Open Source Projects

Here are some resources

Stanford Machine Learning is a free course on coursera and covers pretty much everything you need to know for ML ranging from regression models to deep learning

DeepLearning.ai by Andrew Ng. Like the previous course, Ng gives a very comprehensive look into AI, however this course is specialised to deep learning as opposed to ML in general.

Grokking Deep Learning by Andrew Trask is possibly the best book on deep learning that I have found. The book goes through building neural networks using no libraries except numpy. It’s more complex and costs money, but is highly valuable if you have the time to properly go through it.

Siraj Raval’s youtube channel is a great place to get a high level overview of almost all relevant ML topics and is quite entertaining to watch as well.

How to become a product manager

Product management is the practice of strategically driving the development, market launch, and continual support and improvement of a company’s products. The day-to-day tasks include a wide variety of strategic and tactical duties. Most product managers or product owners do not take on all these responsibilities. At least some of them are owned by other teams or departments in most companies. Conducting Research: Researching to gain expertise about the company’s market, user personas, and competitors. Developing Strategy, Shaping the industry knowledge they’ve learned into a high-level strategic plan for their product—including goals and objectives, a broad-strokes overview of the product itself, and maybe a rough timeline. Communicating Plans: Developing a working strategic plan using a product roadmap and presenting it to key stakeholders across their organization: executives, investors, development teams, etc. Ongoing communication across their cross-functional teams throughout the development process and beyond. Coordinating Development: Assuming they have received a green light to move forward with their product’s strategic plan, coordinate with the relevant teams product marketing, development, etc. to begin executing the plan. Acting on Feedback and Data Analysis; Finally, after building, testing, and introducing the product to the marketplace, learning via data analysis and soliciting direct feedback from users, what works, what doesn’t, and what to add. Working with the relevant teams to incorporate this feedback into future product iterations.

How to figure out what you would like to do at techie youth

What I learned at techie youth is how to figure out what kind of online work would fit you and I you are comfortable doing it. This is a thing you can do all around the world on your phone, laptop, computer, basically anywhere as long as you have internet access. What I learned is that there are many things you can choose from to earn money. There are some that are quick and easy but the pay isn’t as much as you expected, but if you want more you can learn and put in the effort to gain as much as what you worked for. This is a learning experience as much as a working experience so you can learn many things. For example earning money trading cryptocurrency, which might sound hard but it’s helpful in the future. And many more, techie youth gives students and people opportunities to learn things for the future and help them financially.
